As in weight distribution. A well balanced gun is a joy to handle vs a lighter gun that is front or rear heavy.

My buddies Brocock Compatto. I have a pile of $500-$2,300 guns from a bunch of manufacturers. I can’t shoot any of them offhand like that Brocock. Guys who are shooting semi-bullpups, they know what’s up. The rest of us bullpup shooters are living in denial because of a few inches.

I wanted to hunt with air and traded for a bigger caliber. Still used a powder burner. Lol. I thought it would be easier to replace over my reximex throne.

My little Atomic XR has spoiled me for handling afield. But this is all so subjective because it depends on how a gun is “outfitted“.

My crown is very well balanced for offhand shooting. However, there are lots of guns I’ve never shouldered, and everyone is built different, so I think there’s going to be quite the selection of guns in this thread. Lol

So far between my Taipan Compact and my Airmaks Caiman, need a little more hand time with my Huben but it feels lighter than my Taipan Compact which tells me its balanced very well.

I’ve never handled a top shelf gun but I was very pleased with the evanix rex rifle. As far as balance goes in hand, it is spot on. You could almost aim it like a pistol if inclined to do so.

I am not an expert, but I have always considered a balanced gun, is a one wich have the balance where you rest your forhand. If the balance point is on the grip, that should be a back heavy gun?

My daystate huntsman revere is a pleasure to hold, carry, and shoot. I like my taipan a LOT too, but the ergonomics go to the revere.

The most well balanced PCP I've handled is unexpectedly also the cheapest PCP, the $100 Flying Dragon PCP. Giving 20 shots at 20fpe and one of the least pellet-picky barrels I've seen, it is the epitome of lightweight, pointable, woods-walking goodness.

I think it's a case of literal definition vs preference. A gun balanced at the grip is literally back heavy, but one might have a preference for that sort of thing. I really enjoy bullpups because the weight is so far back and that feels "balanced" to me.
