Work for the local telephone company. But like others, I might be retired shortly. Just turned 60 and have 25 years in the company. My wife retired last year and I keep telling her “ just one bad day and Iam done)!

20+ years grocery retail. Had a mini stroke in 2012 had to give it up. Then had 4 heart attacks. 2 were very bad 2022 then 2023. Have 4 stents in my heart now. Still work part time. Trying to take care of my wife who has stage 3 breast cancer.

I retired at 63, almost 64, in 2019. That is when I started shooting PCPs. I've had a blue streak since I was a teen ager but PCPs are still fairly new to me. I get two pensions plus SS so I have enough money to buy any PCP I want. But so far I've been happy with those under $500. When I worked I was in sales of equipment to electric utilities. The last 35 of my 40 years doing that I sold and project managed nuclear fuel for the leading provider. By education I am a mechanical engineer. I volunteer at my church on Mondays but find other things to do the rest of the week. Currently I'm building a full sized bed for my oldest grandson. Woodsmith's classic cherry bed with my modifications. It's the fourth bed I've built of this plan. I live on a lake and fish some too. I wouldn't want to be retired without enough income to do what I want but with reasonable income it is definitely the way to go.

Welder by trade (TIG specifically), went into the Navy and wound up working in the photo lab on a carrier as a photographer. ( Said carrier is now a museum in San Diego - U.S.S. Midway CV-41 ) Got out of the Navy and back to sheet metal as a TIG welder. Got tired of that and got an entry level gig doing I.T.. Been in I.T. for a little over 20 yrs now - still a ways away from being able to retire.

Retired at 52. Lack of quality employees put me at my buddies hydraulic shop. I get to set my own hours and have unlimited vacation but it still feels like a job. Not sure when I will retire from it. Maybe once I’m sure they don’t need me. I couldn’t wait to retire early. But when I did, I got thrown for a loop. Everything that was so important to me when I worked all the time suddenly didn’t mean as much when I became Johnny Freetime. I will get it right this time.
Update: While at work today my buddies, all owners, pulled me in and said they feel bad for me being a retired guy working so much. We are going to try 3 days a week starting next week. This might help slowly transitioning in full blown Freetime Freddy.

My first love is being in the air. I'm fortunate to be paid while doing it. 1st retirement was 2015 from the Army after 22 years. Now working 7 on/7 off as a retirement job! It's a great life

Professional clown, apparently.
18 years as an auto mechanic/service manager/fleet manager. Switched up after Covid and am a journeyman electrician but independent 1099 thru my buddy who's the licensed master sparky. Also still repair cars spring thru fall as a side business.
I do courier work as well, when we're slow on the electric work and in the colder months when I refuse to turn a wrench unless its necessary. My hands hate the cold anymore. I use my cargo van and haul loads on rural routes. This fall was amazing running up and down old highway 79 to Hannibal MO and back most every day. Beautiful countryside.
It's nice to switch things up every so often, helps to keep from burning out.
I've got a ways to go before I can retire.

Well....I am in the same boat as you, retired and I do shoot daily weather permitting and if not out of town (golfing or fishing)! I also fish and luv to cook which is perfect as my wife still works.

Professional tree monkey (AKA an arborist and forester) for 25 years now. Getting a little long in the tooth for climbing now, but I’d never do anything else. I actually got into air-gunning about 5 years ago as a practical way to eliminate tree-damaging/destroying vermin.

Retired mid 2019 when things at work started going sideways. Turned 64 last week. My day job is keeping the destructive squirrels from overpopulating the area. I have 3 non paying clients including a small pecan orchard.

To sleep well and wake up the next day. Easier said than done.
My passion is to shoot pests accurately/precisely and not make them suffer unnecessarily.
Sadly, none of the above is easily achievable these days.
