N/A Whats your most consistently accurate airgun?

Whats that one airgun you have that's got that unicorn barrel that just amazes you everytime you shoot it? I've owned many airguns and I can't say I've had one like this before just crazy accurate. My Taipan Vet Long .22 shooting JTS 18gr at 920fps.

50yds 4 5 shot groups. Avg of .284". I think my parallax was off a hair as it wasn't dead center on all targets like usual but not too stressed about that. On the second one the last shot was the one that dropped lower. If it didn't it was .184" for those first 4 and would have avg .216". Hard to complain when your worst group is .456" and still subMOA. Also think the .155" is my best 5 shot group at 50yds to date. But yeah this gun has about ruined me now and expectations of accuracy with other guns. Kinda sucks lolView attachment 492241View attachment 492240
Hi great looking taipan.. who's is the maker of the 3d printed Chek pice .. is the only part I need for my standard .22 mutant .. thank you..

My Epoch is looking better and better at 100yards
my last practice session using a .22 Epoch with JTS pellets @975-980
the shots were single loaded, target by target.
did not remain on the target to shoot as a group

All three of my air rifles are accurate and consistent at the range I'm using them at, stacking pellets in the same hole within 20 yard, haven't got a chance to shoot at longer range but they are pin point accurate so far.

Beeman R7
Umarex Notos
Avenge-X

Most fun to shoot is definitely the Notos, my absolute favorite of the three.

Wait till you get to 50yrds and above. The fun starts

I would have to say my Current Epic Two, and not forgetting my Vulcan 3

My Maverick i always dialed on, and when i did not, something happened.
Like a few years ago i had the Mav running running slick as snot on a door knob and was shooting sub 1 inch groups at 86 M distance, so did not touch the gun more.
But next time at the range the MAV was all over the place and i even had to tune on regulator too, and only difference about a week of time and a 10 deg C temperature drop.

This was a great post. I would like to see a post of this type of "available" rifles. I shoot my Taipan the most, my Paradigm may be more accurate but I dont shoot it much. I bought it to shoot long range FT which I never did and probably never will. It's a big ol pig as far as a pesting gun so it dosn't get used.I would look at the 15" Evol but I wonder if they will ever be available always. Like others I wish I had of gotten a couple more Taipans.

From the bench, then it’s my Thomas HPX. It’s the only rifle I’ve ever owned that I can depend 100% on that the pellet will land exactly where I send it, IF I made the correct wind call.

If it’s a hunting rifle then I have two that I can depend on whether shooting off a stick, held against a tree or from the top of a fence then it’s my Vixen for barn hunting or my Prophet compact for squirrel hunting. Both have never disappointed if I did my part.

My Taipan Veteran .25 is by far my most consistent and accurate guns I own. I didn't get to shoot a whole lot the last 2 years, and have recently started again. But this thing sits in the case all year, and I pull it out for squirrel season to go hunting with my father in August usually 4 or 5 times. I top it off with air (never leaks) fire one FX hybrid out the door at a target to verify it's still dead on which it always is, and head to the woods. This year i pulled trigger 26 times and killed 25 squirrels with headshots. the only miss was the squirrel turning upon my shot breaking. Last year I killed 20 and never missed a shot.

My second is my Zbroia Kozak FC in .22 for just fun plinking. Same as the Taipan in reliability, has a great trigger. absolute dime crusher to 50 yards. THis is thee one I introduce people to PCP if they are at my house. Quiet as a mouse with that Sumo, all you hear is the ping. and deadly accurate with a cheap scope . This gun has brought so many smiles to peoples faces.

I have a ton of other guns, but these things are my 2 faves

Matt - Agree with your first sentence.

I am curious about your 2nd sentence. Not challenging, just want to really understand your point.

Unless you’re a regular hunter or pester and want your first ‘cold’ shot to be true zero at your preferred distance, I’m not sure how relevant it is to shoot 5 pellets at spaced out intervals, 24 hours in your case. Also, why don’t you post your 5-shot group with your most accurate gun over 24 hours and then post 5 in a row at 40-50 yards.

FWIW - I think you may be correct, but I’m not sure what it proves if it is your most accurate gun.

What specifically are you trying to state here?

Tom
I think that your cold shot test makes sense, so I was home for a couple days between jobs, and got out my RTI Prophet Performance that had been sitting for two weeks. It still had a full charge so I loaded one JSB 33.95gr .25 cal and set a target at 50 yards.
I will continue with a second shot when I get back home next week.

Looking forward to your 2nd cold shot next week. Just remember, no sighters allowed. Also, no zero at 50y first before taking your 2nd cold shot at that same bull. 😉

Just as I said. Take the gun and one pellet out to my shooting table. Walk 50 yards to my target board and hang the target. Walk back to my table, crosshair on the target and pull the trigger. Walk back to the target and snap a picture. Simple as that.
After that I may or may not shoot 50 to 100 more shots before packing up to go to my next job to be gone a week or two and then back home for cold shot #3.
Not sure how it will work out since I am not sorting pellets or or anything other than load point and shoot, but I do enjoy the new challenge.
