When do you know it's time to call it quits ?

Hobbies come and go in cycles. In my case I've done shooting, ham radio, wargaming miniature painting, tabletop RPG's, electronics, e-bikes, PC flight simulators, and reenacting. I found that the ones I have kept longest are those that are face to face social. Most of the above have lasted 2-3 years then I move on. I've stuck with shooting and reenacting for going on over 30 years because of all the lifelong friends I've made in those hobbies. If your airgun (or any other hobby) interests are social then you're more likely to stay in them for the sake of the friendships you make along the way. Regards

Don't get me wrong I absolutely love my airguns and I am still amazed by them after a decade and an half into PCPs
love to shoot them, handle them and even just look at them, just amazing pieces IMO.

couple years ago I got it into my head to get into more refined Airguns and was planning to sell all mines to buy a few Uragans and Matadors,...well afer I sold a few I regretted it so much I begget the buyers to sell them back to me :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: ...luckily some felt pity for me and did :ROFLMAO:

Anyway, as much as I love my collection it just does not get used at all ( apart from one REX .357 that I always take hunting but even that is very sporadic nowadays )

so I feel it's a just luxury I cannot afford to have a safe full of Airguns for no real reason but just have them there.

I doubt it will ever be time to call it quits. Since I was 11-12 years old I have always owned some type of airgun. Granted back then it was cheapo CO2s and pumpers, but always had something to at least plink with. Just don't see it happening until I'm too old or feeble.
I agree 100%. 90% of my guns are at my parents house and as my Wife said, there just no room in our house for all those guns and accessories, tanks, compressors, safes. My father recently died and now my Mum's has ailing health, so it's like a ticking clock.
Just gonna have to Divorce the Wife. 🙄

Manny, I've read your posts for years on the airgun boards, you've been through multiple cycles of dumping everything and then starting all over. You've spent a fortune on airguns. Why don't you pare it down to a few favorites instead of abandoning it all.
You rigth, so many cycles for so many different reasons ;)
