The following three pellets ara JSB’s 25.39 grain .25 Cal..

They “appear “ to be identical, but they are not and they do not fly equally.

Look them from below. They are absolutely different!!!! And that is why if you mix them, they will hit in very different places notwithstanding your rifle was dully zeroed with some of them:

It is convenient to confirm with which kind of pellets you have zeroed your rifle and then to take care of shooting with exactly the same kind of pellets in order you can obtain consistency.

Makes sense. I have mixed different brands together of pellets I considered just plinking quality. They did shoot POI different for sure. Not what i was expecting.

22cal 18gr pellets are a little longer than they were a few years ago. If you use pellets from when they were short, you'll hit more than you do now.

I shoot JSB pellets and do have an occasional flyer. I'll have to take a closer look as I load my mags.

Hmmmm.. i guess you get what you pay for... And most times less.. i stick to crosman cphp. My expectations aint high or low . Just shoot a tin out and crack open another.. my results are pretty consistent . Then if a day its not , well not like im out $20+ a tin and shipping..

yep, jsb definitely have batches of pellets! I remember discovering this on the 18.13gr a few years ago...i open all my tins to check which type the tin is and sort by "thick skirt" and "thin skirt". They both shoot fine, just different POI...so I keep em separate.

If these three pellets are from the same tin, then, yeah, that's pretty bad. I've never seen that, myself. If these are from different tins and batches, I'd say this isn't news.

Different tins !!

I used to refill the tin with straps I carry, with pellets from new tins... I will never mix pellets form new tins again untill I check they are similar under the skirt.

The difference under the skirt might no be the only difference.
There could be other differences not as easily to spot.

I never mix pellets.... — I try to finish one tin before I start a new tin. That way, if there is a change in POI I rezero once, and done.
