Oooook I been wanting info on pcp usage in the cold. I know they work but what about if im out and about and want to plink for a few hour or so. Will I be able to hand pump my pistol and use it repeatedly in one session out in the COLD?🤷‍♂️🤔
*trying to gain more knowledge 🎩🤙
They work fine in the cold. You just lose pressure due to the temp.

So refilling(I will be hand pumping) and going again for like hours is OK? All in the 🥶 cold
I will go shooting when it is well below zero here in ND. Like UC said, don't full the gun before going inside.

I would suggest setting your rifle outside for a few hours to let things normalize. Then top it off with the cold and go shoot. When your done bring the gun inside and let it warm up. After it has normalized again then top it off. Watch for moisture on the rifle after you bring it inside, because you may have to wipe it down depending on how cold it was while you were shooting.

Awww ok, so once "normalized" to what temperature I am shooting at; it's good to fill? Then i can refill at same temp; 😅so can I fill it before I go out into the cold; it would venture with me to the shooting area and probably about normalize by then? Just don't fill it up in cold then go to warm with a alot of air in it ...right??🥴😵‍💫
Then after do wipe downs, screw checks, etc?

Yup, no issues. Just don't pump the gun full and then take it inside as it will climb several hundred psi as it warms up
Great to know!!😅🎩🤙

Fill the gun before you go out into the cold. Then let the gun sit for a while until it is cold, and you will see that your pressure has dropped. You can then top the gun off while you are outside so you are putting the same temp air into your cylinder. When you are done shooting for the day I always take a few shots to lower the pressure to around a half fill. Then bring the gun inside and once it is back to room temp you are able to top off.

What you are trying to do is equalize the air inside the cylinder to the outside environment. When it is cold the air will contract and you will loose pressure. So if you were to top off a cold gun with cold air, and then brought the gun inside you will see an increase in pressure. I don't think you would have to worry about damaging anything, but who knows how high the pressure will build once things even out.

I will put together a video sometime with a camera on the gun before I take it out and after. Then will show the fill pressure of before and after so you can see the pressure drop.
