When October Goes

I used to be active in all seasons and looked forward to the change.... Spring trout to summer bass and walleye, to early fall ducks and small game, then the deer hunt and Christmas break, followed by ice fishing, skiing and late season rabbit hunting on snowshoes. 😁

Being Canadian, I don't mind snow and sub-zero temperatures. But since retiring, I'm spending more time shooting indoors than out on the lake cutting holes through 3 feet of ice. 😉

I still enjoy the winter, I just don't partake in it the way I did when I was younger. 🙂

Fall is still my favorite time of year. We have squirrels in gray, black and white phases. I hunt the gray and black ones for the pot and for fly tying materials. Not many of the white ones on the property (maybe half a dozen) so they get a free pass.

Cheers!

I am just all " soon the season i can no longer enjoy " Mode.
Followed by " where the hell did daytime go "

Yeah, when I look at where most of Europe sits on a globe I do not envy you guys. Washington is considered pretty far north compared to other states and our days feel pretty short this time of year, but we’re actually further south than Paris is.
