When Shipping What Do You Call It?

1) I call the contents of the box the model of the gun only. CR 2240, 1720T, Prod ect

2) I always seperate the stock from the receiver, the shorter the box the better for shipping cost, item protection, and risk of detection.

3) I always take pics to show the buyer that its pack well and complete, and for insurance purposes

4) Here is the ticket, write ................................... "Happy 8th Birthday, ___________________"

5) I always insure it before sending it

Works every time...

Call it what it is. Marauder, etc. Some UPS stores might not accept it, as it’s up to the individual who owns the store, but every hub will accept it. The reason? Insurance. For an insurance claim to be paid,’the description must exactly match what was shipped. If you call them golf

cluns, good luck collecting on a high end Airgun. UPS will want pictures and receipts. I worked at a UPS store and I rarely saw a claim that was approved. The first thing UOS will say is the item didn’t meet UPS standards. Most

claims don’t get

past this step. You can avoid this if you let the store pack it for you. Yes, it will cost a lot more but they will put a yellow sticker on it, saying the store packed it. The store will make sure it’s packed securely because any damage claims are paid by the store, not UPS. Also, the best way to ship the gun is next day air. It’s expensive but the package is handled by a person and will not

be put on a conveyor belt. It’ll get there faster and way less chance of damage. Split the shipping with the buyer/seller. Hope this helps

A lot more is right. I rated a box to ship Fedex and it would cost $40 as packaged and it was completely packaged, sealed addressed everything. I could not log into my Fedex account to print a label so I stopped at a "More Than Mail" which is a drop and or a shipper for Fedex UPS DHL etc. They wanted $80, twice the amount of actual shipping cost. I was willing to pay $10 for them putting a label on it but not $40. I went back home and got my account going somehow.

I went into a ups store with a gun I had sold and was asked what it was. I told the girl it was an air rifle and she told me that they couldn’t ship a gun, that I had to go through an FFL. I tried to explain to her that it wasn’t a firearm but in her mind it made no difference. Appealing to others that worked there made no difference either. I don’t live in a liberal part of the country (thank God) so it really surprised me. I drove across town to another location and when asked what it was, I told them it was golf clubs, no problem.
