Results When to the range today (dialing in scope & breaking in the rifle)

Went to the range today . 68 degrees, mild when blowing left to right across the range. My rifle is the FX Impact M4 Sniper, shooting the tune it came with from Utah Airguns. Shooting the JSB Exact .30 Diabolo pellets, 50,15gr. When I tried the the AEA Center Punch Diabolo .30 50,5gr every couple shots the pellet jams. Tried pellets from 2 different tins. The JBS seem to be shooting pretty good. Not 1 jam with them. This target is around 280 shots. Next week end I will start learning to shoot the competition 50 yard single shot per target. Need to get some of those targets ordered.

None of my .30s prefer the JSB 50.15s, but love the 44.75s. Any reason why UA tuned 50.15 over 44.75? WM

I don't believe they tuned it with the 50.15. I bought the 50.15 when I bought the rifle. That's what they had in stock. Would I be better with the 44.75?

At least TRY the 44.75's. That's what MOST prefer. My Boss will shoot both accurately but the lighter 44.75 is a 32nd to a 16th of an inch more accurate. I use the 50's when I have to buck the wind a little more.

Absolutely, JSB 44.75s (.30), 33.95s (.25) and 18.1 (.22) are world famous for accuracy, think many manufacturers tune guns specifically for these. WM

Here's how my Uragan 2 700mm slug barrel shot both, as well as ZAN BR100s, @ 50 yards. FX 50.2 is same as JSB 50.1 (JSB makes both.) WM

The answer to "which pellet should I try" really does come down to "yes". Just try a tin of each kind that makes any sense.

I suspect the 50gr pellets really only come alive around 100fpe.

Interesting that most targets show more of a Vertical spread than horizontal ?
If shooting to fast perhaps the regulator is not keeping up yielding differing speeds shot to shot ?

Good fun right there as 280 shots is a nice picnic at the range !!
