When your body starts back-talking

Every day i know i just turned 77 ,but luck is still with me just isn't fast luck anymore .

I'll be 77 the end of October, and still like my springers, no pcp types here. I did build one Crosman 1xx type rifle/carbine last year and while it shoots good, I just don't like the looks so will probably pass it on to my grandson next time they are here. I just today finished rebuilding two of the Daisy 717 single stroke pneumatic pistols for my son and grandson, so that can have matches shooting against each other. I used polyurethane O-rings, and some split teflon flat rings to use instead of the foam wipers as originally used, that tend to break down and crumble. Five of those washers seem to hold enough oil to keep the cylinder lubed for the compression O-ring.

I find when my body starts talking back I just take some gasX.😁 Being 70 and having a lot of property to maintain I'm constantly in pain. I spent a lot of my life riding a motorcycle to and from work to the tune of a half a million miles. I rode year around rain snow or heat. Anywhere between 14 to 114 degrees. My tolerance for pain is more than most because of having frozen hands and feet so I have neropithy in both.

I've been lucky health-wise; I'll be 75 years old next month and I've never even had so much as a broken bone. But I do try to keep fit; I go to the gym 3 times a week and do about an hour of weight training. I can still bench more than my weight. My best advice for anyone (regardless of age) is to exercise, even just a little is better than nothing at all, and try to eat right. The benefits are manifold.
