WHERE ARE ALL THE EBR POSTS?

Mike,
Did they allow videographers on the line at EBR and RMAC during the qualifiers and finals? Last year at PAC there were two guys who got INCHES away from me while I was shooting the qualifiers and finals. Just to add to what @Buckeye68 said shooters DO NOT need those kind of distractions on the line.
Yes, they do allow videographers but they are not in your face and are supposed to stay behind the yellow line in back of the shooters when competition starts.

Your not listening,I shoot my sighter, get my zero, start shooting till I'm close to 8 ring, then shoot another sighter and adjust, shoot till I'm close to 8 ring,my fliers are going no farther than 7 ring, clock makes no difference. I'll be done shooting in 3 minutes depending conditions staying steady, once my barrel is heated,I have to keeping shooting every 15 seconds to keep gun to full potentials accuracy. I set up at home like anywhere else,if the winds not over ten mph, then I can keep every shoot inside the 8 ring hitting mostly 9s and 10s. If my pellets clips the green on the ten ring then I been counting that as a ten. Maybe I'm doing it wrong not going from center of pellets. Paper tore does not count, but I been counting it if it hits the green on ten ring. I get what your saying, but I tell you it's my set up that doing the preforming,I'm no special shooter or wind reader. My set up is special. Here's a complete mag at 100 yards in the wind. The pellet out side the group was a gust of wind. That's my drift.8mph wind on this group. That's 28 shoots of 30 cal8ber pellets at 100 yards on a windy day with no adjustment for the wind. I got my barrel hot,sl8d a mag in and shoot soon as reg refreashed, about every 15 seconds.

Are you shooting an EBR size target? That one in your photo is huge, and definitely lots bigger than EBR/RMAC targets. Maybe post an actual photo of your target that you use would help us understand. FYI, faster doesn’t mean less wind drift with pellets, from a physics and science standpoint of course.
  • EBR Target Size Measures:
    • X ring ……… 0.200
    • 10 ring……… 0.475
    • 9 ring………. 1.250
    • 8 ring………. 2.000
    • 7 ring……… 2.800
    • 6 ring……… 3.580
    • 5 ring……… 4.36
    • 4 ring……….5.125

My set up is that good. I've found way to shoot heavy pellets very fast that don't drift alot. It's accurate to. Unless wind is 10mph I can hold edge 8ring and hit either 9or ten. I just aim center unless I see my flag is straight horizonal, then I adjust to edge of 8. With pellets not drifting6 and 8 inches do to wind,I'm able to hit centers. I have some more targets ordered, and pellets coming. This one I'll video. I can say the 235 I shot it was not really windy, but not dead calm either. Each time I shoot ,I get better at it.

Hi Hunter25,

I will advise based on personal experience…

Now that you have your rifle dialed in at 100 yards in good conditions, I’d suggest practicing in a wide open farmer’s field. An open space about the width and length of a football field.

My experience is that wind is significantly more challenging in these wide open spaces vs. say a shooting lane carved into the woods.

Also, wind varies significantly even across the width of the wide open space - which is why lane choice matters at these competitions. For example, if the outside lanes have a barrier on the side, you can expect them to have significantly different wind conditions than lanes in the center.

Also, when practicing make sure you mount your target sheets at the same height as the competitions do. I believe the higher the target is mounted, the more it is “exposed” to wind conditions. Targets mounted low to the ground seem to experience less wind.

When you mount the target up high like in competitions, my experience is that the wind can vary significantly from the bottom row vs. the top row of your target.

Finally, there are a lot of crazy things that you have to deal with in competitions. For example, especially in Sportsman Division, beware competitors accidentally cross-shooting your target card. You will have to check and double check all holes - and report any cross shots you detect immediately.

This is my range. I test at nite. Practice in daytime while winds blowing. This is not craved out in woods. There's air coming from over levie, air off water, and coming from field beside it . My range does funny things to aea, jsb,fx,pellets. 25 caliber misses are 8inches with a 5mph wind. Fliers are worse. 30 caliber misses are 4inches,fliers are 6 to 7inches off center. Don't think I only shoot with out conditions. I wai

On right side is 60 acres,up above is 100acre field. Wind gets a g ood run at the shooting house. Head winds left my pellets an inch or two, still 8ve been practicing in all conditions to better win some matches next year. 8 love to shoot, but can't afford 30 caliber ammo. I'm out. 15 tins last week. My new set up,wind does not affect as it does aea, jsb, and zans pellets. I've matched a barrel with a pellets that works very well in conditions. This is not a range that blocks conditions. At nite with out sun and wind issues my target scores are very high. I have issues with sun. My scopes powerful and it get blurry from sun.9n left side is neighbors 2 acre yard ,right side is field,up above target is 100 are field,it's all open. No craved out slot in woods.

I’m glad you have it down because I need some shooting lessons.
Whats your setup? I’m just getting started in the PCP game.
Completely honest,I plan on using this next year to win with. I will tell you I'm using an impact m3 I got from Ernest Rowe. The barrel is a custom job with a custom twist rate. That's all I care to tell. I've spend hours and lots of money getting this right.
