Avid fly hunter here, Raw egg works great for me,,,, I also have been known to spend hours shooting yellow jackets on water with my P17, I think I am going to kill them a little faster with my Athens 750 .

We use squirrel guts in a bucket when the season is open. Skin and gut your squirrels and put it all in a bucket. Fill the bucket with water until the hides and entrails are just about to overflow. Put a white piece of cardboard behind the bucket for the flies to land on and go to town. In warm weather in August it only takes 10 minutes for a few hundred flies to show up. I will try the boiled egg trick to see if its any better
