Not even sure what it's called but looking for one of the bars that keep the rear of the gun level for benchrest shooting with my FWB 300s . I feel like a buddy that is a welder could make me one ...But I want it to look good along with work well

I haven't actually. But for what I'm trying to do I don't think there rear bipod would be as stable . My cousin has one , along with a Harris short front bipod and swears by it !

Joe. I was going to try building one of those for my wildcat. But was going to take off the butt pad and sandwich a alum piece between the butt pad and stock that extended down below the stock, then weld a round alum rod on it. If you would like, send me the outline of your stock and I'll build two. Price is right. Free. PM me.

I have seen both PB long range and springer benchrest shooters use something like that. It makes sense on a recoiling gun to have a controlled movement. I would like to try one out.

Joe, I have seen some of these on rifles several years ago. They give you a precise feel using your left thumb and fore finger to laterally adjust your shot or return to center on your target. I currently have several of my powder burners utilizing the CKT industries version of this but retract to the horizontal. During deployment they are rotated to upright or vertical then adjusted for elevation. Again the thumb and fore finger of your left hand tucked under allows minute adjustment in the lateral plane.
I like the idea of simplicity and attachment by using an aluminum spacer machined then welded to a simple horizontal rod. I think I saw something like this on the web. Try the sniper web sites like... Sniper's Hide or Sniper Central...you may find some more information...

Looks like a strange out fit to me a clamp w ith a rod on it,
You target guys come up with some strange things, My sand bags, Dead man and mono, tripod and bipod is all I need so far,
But in this sport, Never say Never, Or you will have one of the farkles stuck on your gun in a year or so.
