Where can I shoot my air rifle in Los Angeles

95 miles round trip? so 47 miles each way? Thats nothing. I'm sure it would be nicer if something was closer, but thats really not bad.

Sucks you feel the need to sell your rifles. Especially thinking you might have someplace to shoot thats closer.
It’s at minimum 1 hour one way, 2 hours round trip if lucky in so Cal traffic. $37 + $5 for a target. $42. I don’t know where you live but ask anyone on this board what the 91 @ 5 freeways are like anytime of day. Ya I do it, but twice a week $50 plus, $100 per week, $400 per month adds up. Especially for a retiree. If I could cut that cost in half I would be happy. Is it unreasonable to want to shoot twice per week as a retiree? I still pay a yearly local indoor fee, I like to shoot. I’m like the perfect air gunner, I spend money on airgunning! That’s why I’m selling my rifles and going pistols and smaller carbines like the Notos. Buying moderators. They’re quiet 🤫 to shoot alongside my house. Sorry I feel the pain of this newbie. My advice to him might be, return the gun.

Ask anyone in so cal what
Hi just bought air rifle never used it , what’s best place to use it in Los Angeles, and recommendation? I read some articles most people said at the shooting range , but isn’t embarrassing to go to shooting range where everyone has real gun and shoot there?
i understand your hesitation to go to a range, I went through the same anxiety. Don’t worry about outdoor ranges they’re pretty good welcoming air gunners. Don’t be shy. Only problem is; they can be a long drive and with the guns don’t get road rage. 😂 I’ve found a few people on this board don’t get LA traffic, strap on close to 100 miles of the 5 and the 91 any day of the week for me. If you can find an indoor range, north OC has a couple that will welcome you, do it.they are reasonably priced, mine is about 1/3 the price of the outdoor range. I’m in my second year at one and for the most part they’ve been welcoming. I did have an employee put fear in me last week when he said “when are you going to graduate to a real gun?” I kiss ass to keep my range availability, yes sir, no sir 😂 good luck.

That's absurd? Clearly you lack the perspective to have any empathy towards that mans reasoning. Maybe the guy has sciatica and can't sit in a car for a 47 mile drive? You don't know his story, but you are quick to reject it by minimizing...

Oversensitive? K we're done here. Have a good day, Mr insensitive.

You live in Columbus Ohio, I get it, I grew up in Indiana and I've been to Columbus several times. You have no clue. Strap on the 5 and 91 freeways anytime of day, there's zero comparison, geez. Here's one of my favorite all time chases 2 nights ago on the 91 which is on the way to the range. These chases, freeway shutdowns, wrecks are like everyday, all day occurrences around here. Not counting the traffic. You pay $24.99 for a day and $440 for an all you can eat daily range pass at AIMHI and that range is other wordly compared to my range. We pay $37 for 2 hours or $700 per year. https://abc7.com/13857808/ enjoy

I thought real men shot black powder?
