Where can I shoot my air rifle in Los Angeles

There's nothing to be embarrassed about. A man shouldn't care what another man thinks is cool or not. Follow your heart not what others want you to follow.

Also, bring both. Nothing wakes you up quite like switching from a little pellet pooter to a big ol' revolver and some 700gr wadcutters lol

I used to live there nothing new
Yeall, beat me to it !

A bit of a drive, but there's a couple of places outdoor ranges up in the Devore area (up the 15 fwy).
And yeah, just smile back if anyone gives you a hard time about having an airgun ! Challenge them to a shoot off !! Show them just how well a lowly "pellet gun" can shoot.

Hi just bought air rifle never used it , what’s best place to use it in Los Angeles, and recommendation? I read some articles most people said at the shooting range , but isn’t embarrassing to go to shooting range where everyone has real gun and shoot there?
An airgun IS a real gun. Who cares what others think? Especially if YOU enjoy it. Thats what its supposed to be about right?

Besides, many might get curious and look at your airgun as its different and it might spark their interest. Especially if you let them shoot it.

I've got a good collection of firearms. However I enjoyed the ranges less and less. Often due to some range officers or regulars attitudes, the hassle of hauling gear at many of them, having to shoot paper indoors, but especially the noise. In august I saw an article online about air rifles. After reading it it peeked my interest more and I started digging into them. I was hooked once I attended an HFT match with only airguns being shot. It was so much more enjoyable, peaceful and relaxing.

As one friend said, with airguns we are enjoying the fun side of shooting.

Joe Brancatto started an Airgun Shooting Range in Irvine I believe.....give them a call (TopGunAirguns, AirTanksforSale)! Not too far away.
I bought my first airgun/Avenger and a Guppy from Joe in very early May of 2022 thinking Joe's range would be up and running within a few months. The store had a sign up sheet with an update 4/21/22 for more information (attached). 30 Days later I purchased an FX thinking his range would be open no later than October or November of 2022, after all they were building benches. I was later told they were ready to set up the benches in September/October 22. Here it is October 2023 still no site and no idea IF or WHEN it will open. I've contacted the store no less than 6 times since my initial contact with them. Always a new excuse, not a Joe issue. Last time I contacted them it was crickets. But Joe is showing off "our beautiful private range" in videos. I sold the FX this week at an $800 loss not counting accessories because shooting airguns in So Cal is a tough find. I sold another 22 cal carbine about 2 weeks ago. Indoor ranges are 25 yards if you can find one that takes airguns. Shooting 25 yards with a high end rifle and a scope gets boring, you eventually want to move out farther. The closest outdoor range is 95 miles round trip from me, costly now at $6.50 per gallon. If I sound a bit bitter, yes I'm bitter. I'm forced to slowly get out of a hobby I love. The options to shoot in So Cal are very limited, hollow promises don't help matters.

95 miles round trip? so 47 miles each way? Thats nothing. I'm sure it would be nicer if something was closer, but thats really not bad.

Sucks you feel the need to sell your rifles. Especially thinking you might have someplace to shoot thats closer.

You shouldn't disregard someones subjective sentiment. Respect goes a long ways.

"That's nothing"...is an insult to someone that may be operating on thin margins financially or have otherwise other limitations...

Thats absurd. its about perspective. I grew up in a community that everything was 45-60 miles away. Want to go grocery shopping, see a movie, etc it was that far away. The range I go to is 55 miles away. I know many others that are 2-3 hours away.

It wasnt insulting and its absurd youd be so oversensitive to think so SMH.

That's absurd? Clearly you lack the perspective to have any empathy towards that mans reasoning. Maybe the guy has sciatica and can't sit in a car for a 47 mile drive? You don't know his story, but you are quick to reject it by minimizing...

Oversensitive? K we're done here. Have a good day, Mr insensitive.

I guess you failed to read the other portion of my comment in my reply that shows that. No you just went over the top with an oversensitive reaction.
