FWB Where is my sleeve?

I thought all FWB300 had a long barrel sleeve? This gun is so front heavy with long barrel/sleeve, it's almost better this way!

There was a surprising amount of variation in those sleeves over the years. Among the guns I have:

+ 300S Junior: barrel 320mm long, with no sleeve ("naked" barrel is 15mm in diameter on all these guns).
+ 300 Match: barrel 445mm long, with a constant-diameter sleeve of 20mm diameter. Mine is unusual in that the sleeve is not epoxied on, I can enjoy shooting it with or without the extra weight.
+ Early 300S Match: barrel 395mm long. Rear part of the sleeve 18mm diameter, and the fatter front part is 22mm.
+ Later 300S Universal: barrel 395mm long. Rear part of sleeve 18mm diameter, front part is shorter but fatter at 23.5mm.

The barrel is 15mm OD on all four of my FWB's. I have heard of people removing the sleeves, but I am WAY too much of a klutz and a coward to ever point a torch at an FWB, lol.

My 300 is unusual in having a beech stock, in addition to the un-glued sleeve. I've only seen one other beech one, the owner told me it had military training markings on it.

Are they usually epoxied on? Can you remove with moderate heat? Anyone know?
I have a mint 300 and would love to get the sleeve off, if possible, without messing up the gun. They really weigh a ton with the sleeve on and are so front heavy, especially without that 445mm long barrel!
Leave well enough alone. Just saying
