Where to buy a cocking lever replacement?

No worries. I will keep on looking and see if I can find a solution to the cocking lever mod.

Please watch my next video tomorrow where I shot the M60B out at 50 yards with the NSA 17.5gr slugs. The result will intrigue you. Too bad I didn't have a sideshow 34mm mount to film it. However, I have recently learned to use a 3D program (FreeCAD) to create a 34mm mount. My friend has a 3D printer and my prototype worked! Just waiting for clear weather to do some filming.

Sounds great. Ive been watching.

My M60B is a tack driver as well.

Keep up the good work.

Update with the Barra lever on my M60B. Unfortunately, It does not fit.

One of the forum members here had done me a great favour by ordering and sending me the levers from Barra to help me save some shipping cost. It is too bad that I couldn't modify it in any way to make it workable. Oh well, it was worth the try. Last resort would be buying the FX lever.

The Maverick lever looks to be close, a few minutes on some medium grit paper would probably get it within acceptable tolerances.

I am looking for a cocking lever replacement for the Snowpeak M60B. The stock version is way too long and the FX Impact lever is not the same thickness.

Appreciate if anyone has a suggestion, thank you.
@Max115 Can you post a photo of the current lever on your Snowpeak M60B or the one that came with it? When you say that “the stock version is too long,” do you mean that it is too long for your liking? If so, can a replacement lever from the manufacturer be altered to fit your needs?

I assume that you’re saying that the bracketed part too long. Gerry mentioned a knurled handle (where the arrow is pointing) and that doesn’t seem to be what you’re concerned with. If it is the bracketed portion, what exactly is it that you’re trying to do in replacing it with a different lever?

@Ezana4CE. The stock lever is longer than the FX one which I am used to. When I cock the gun I would need to reach out further; Hence, I was looking for something shorter. unfortunately, I would have to cut 16mm and weld the stock piece if I want it shorter. That weld joint might be too weak with constant pulling.

The Barra lever is the right length and it actually fit inside the cocking pin area. The only thing is the angle of the end is 90 degree instead of angled. So when it is installed inside the pin area, it does not cock back fully without hitting the opening of the slot. See picture.

I marked out the with the red pen, and that might be how much material I will need to cut out to fit. I will definitely try to grind off some material slowly and see if that clear the cocking travel.

Also, the M60B lever is straight except the end where the cocking handle sits. The Barra one comes out much further, so even if I can get the modification done correctly, the cocking handle (which I have to source one to fit) will stick out too far on the gun.

In this Rabbit Hole? $34 bucks is nothing.
I'd probably save money if I just gambled or drank more and dropped air guns!
🤣
Yes Rabbit Hole indeed. I knew I was going to loose some money trying to find this alternative lever, but at least it wasn't that much. And yes, that's peanut compared to what I have invested in my collection, lol.

@Max115 Now I think I have a much clearer understanding of the issues with the Barra replacement lever. I see the angle of the leaver and how it cannot cock back completely because of the area behind the red line in your photo. I can also better understand your concerns regarding the tolerances of the weld (if you cut the stock lever shorter and welded the end of the lever where the handle affixes) with repeated cocking. This is a tough one. I tried sourcing Snowpeak replacement parts and that in itself was tough. A custom-machined lever may be the next best alternative from what I can come up with as a person with no machining skills. I hope you can find a solution that works for you. Keep us posted on what works for you. Have you emailed the manufacturer to see what they may be able to do?

I just spoke with my welding friend who helped me with my DIY steel spinners. He said it might be possible to cut and weld the stock lever but it needs to be steel so that it is strong. I don't know what material the M60B is made of. If we cut it and found out it wouldn't work, then I will have a bigger issue that I have started with, lol. I will see if I can reach out to the manufacturer, but I wouldn't hold my breath for an answer.

Check it with a magnet. If it's Steel? A BlackSmith could rework it by heating and bending.
Then hammer down the end to get an area for the handle.
@Privateer That's actually a decent idea. Do you think that the leverage of the cocking action would be affected greatly due to that sort of simple design change?
