FX Where to find a Barrel band?? i need a barrel band for my dreamline lite with 700cc carbon bottle.

Stock the dreamline in 25 caliber typical gets around 52/54 ft lbs of energy. I've added the Huma high flow transfer port, hi flow probe, and high power tuning spring. I've left the stock hammer.. I shoot slugs so I want a hard stroke with a short dwell... So high tension spring and light hammer fills that need. I'm shooting 30gr slugs at 945-948FPS. That's right about 62ft lbs of energy. That is set at about 45% of internal hammer spring tension, the power wheel at 19, the regulator at 133bar... There is A GOOD BIT left in reserve, so to say.

Stock I was maxed out on internal hammer spring with the wheel on max or 23. And the reg at 130bar.

A single plenum added a good bit of extra fps. I was set at 880 fps at 115bar shooting pellets when I installed it. Immediately upon re gassing was shooting 918fps. Because I'm using hi flow components, high pressure, and pushing slugs I added the 2nd plenum just to be sure it had enough air per cycle. It's not necessary I don't think, but I did it to be certain. Plus its relatively cheap addition.

I love my dreamline. The accuracy is astounding. With the slug liner 1:16 twist STX slug liner I'm getting single hole groups out to 70yards and MOA or better average groups at 100y. With the stock STX superior.1:24 twist barrel. Pellets were shooting incredibly well. 1.2MOA or better at 100. It's a great gun.
geeez- i wish my comes out to be as good as yours!

i will take all your advice and get those things you mentioned because they are not that expensive..

its too bad you dont have the exact caliber i do but .25 or.30- it should work about the same for me as it does for you.. only on a different power scale.

i too want to shoot the slugs

ok.. i don't want to do longer, the whole gun is already too long.. i will go for donnyfl fx airguns model- its same length as tanto- they advertise it as the bigger brother of tanto but its thicker so maybe i can pack more felt inside and play with it that way to make it more quit.. i hope i can disassemble the donnyfl fx airguns same way as you do the tanto and all the rest.. it think i can or else it would make no sense of getting one with felt inside but no option to change the felt..
I don't know much about .30. But, there is a trend that seems to be universal..

H&N slugs seem to be the best in .22 and .25, by far. I have a 700mm DRS it has the power to shoot heavy heavy .22 slugs at great power, but I prefer shooting HN 21-23 gr and Griffin 19 and 21gr slugs at very high speed. The flat trajectory makes quick shooting of pests very simple, it extends my Point blank range and my shot count.

Id recommend trying HN Slugs first, ZAN slugs 2nd
.

Hi guys

i will start by saying that i hate the fact that i have to look for this ugly barrel band on such a good, expensive airgun- this seems to be a weak point to its design but hey, it is what it is..

i will swap my cylinder for a 700cc carbon bottle (2024 dreamline lite with .30cal 600mm barrel)

i am looking for a cool looking barrel band that has a rail on the bottom for the bipod

i can not find anything except those ugly looking tinny bands that fit the barrel/cylinder.. but not much for the carbon bottles

so maybe some of you got already some bands for your carbon bottles and care to share a photo and a link to the product

i know one can print 3d anything but i cant.

this is the bottle i will get- length 410mm, diameter 60mm..

You don't have to, but Google is your friend. Ebay and even thinigiverse if you have a 3d printer . Wait till you have it and shoot it yourself. There's a lot of trash fuddlore forum opinions and hate from people who bought dreamlines and shouldve bought a notos instead. You get a lot of trolling from poors too. See how you like it, if it absolutely needed a barrel band like it needed the plenum, fx might have added both.

she is pretty :D

thank you for the info- you are not pooping on my plans- you are telling me that i dont need a band which is great! i hate the looks of it but keep seeing so many for sale that i assumed it is NEEDED...

you said: add in threading on the shraud.. you mean i should add it (how) or you mean its already there from the factory?

how do i know if my model has ultralite barrel? i bought it in germany..
It is the small shroud but never fear. I've been putting my dreamtac in a soft case, throwing it in my truck and taking it to and from work every day for weeks with no poi shift. I know it's tough to resist, but don't get sold on changing it all with self perpetuating forum fuddlore.

There's at least 1 person who has multiple accounts and an axe to grind on some brands/models. Also, even for their misses at the high price point, fx is constantly improving based on feedback. I checked my barrel to action snugness, the liner baffle midway in the shroud and for me the shroud cap would come off with my moderator. It wasn't loctited properly but the blue stuff was there. Unlike multiple acct person I just fixed it and didn't make a forum post about the expense and having to loctite something myself on a "perfect" gun. 😁

HN and Zan seem to work very well at any speed. They also expand the best.

I might catch flak for this. Dont even bother with the hybrid slugs..
Same findings, bought a ton of hybrids and they're not the best thing for accuracy in 22. Great for rabbits and pigeons tho. My 25 is similar results but it anchors whatever you hit even if a poor shot usually.

Does your 25 slug liner still shoot kings ok? My heavy liner in 22 stopped shooting pellets other than monsters all together.

No. Exact kings are trash and seem to fly with a nose down pitch heavy mk2s are lasers out of it. From 80 and in Hades are laser like as well, only opening slightly to 100. But HMK IIs are unbelievably accurate out of the .25 slug liner

yes 6gun- i hear you, as usual..

so far i know what i will get for my new DL lite:

-700cc bottle from amazon and valve from huma, 200euro
-bottle adapter huma 120euro
-2 power plenums 70euro
-donnyfl can 120euro
-cheapest element scope ?
-orange box compressor 270euro

later i might add
-power probe
-stronger spring
-dual port
-slug liner

and that's it, if it shoots good lighest H&N slugs out of original liner, i wont bother with the latter addons

I learned something new in your thread about the bottle quest. That the tuxing bottle I put on my aea shared far too many similarities with my fx bottles to be coincidental. Feels nice to learn something so early today. I own an element helix which is on my dreamline right now.

If budget allows take a look at the arken/DNT Zulus with the laser range finder on it. It can solve for holdover which is a real game changer for the enjoyment of shooting imho. Plus the 1 shot zero feature is. Nice. It's a bit spendy tho.

ok, so yours is 30cm long, mine will be 41cm long- good.. i just wanted to picture how far will my new bottle be on my barrel... i will get the 700cc...

so this one from amazon for 179usd seems like a bargain instead of paying 360euro for the one from huma...

i just don't know yet if they ship to germany but will find out.. and then order the valve from huma.. is assembly easy- just screw the new valve in? use teflon or no..

Buy it off of AliExpress if you can or find a listing on the German Amazon site.

6gun- glad you learned something! i did too..

i will not spend that much on this hobby and this gun.. even vector optics will do for me.. you know, i have other priorities- i want to get a second shredder, muuuuch bigger from the one i have now- to be able to destroy more stuff :ROFLMAO: bigger stuff... i will shred or press everything i can get my hands on.. but not my guns:)

tell me if THIS compressor is a good choice..

you know, we talked about the orange box, the one that costs 270euro and is a good choice..

but this one from tuxing costs only 280euro but its double so strong- it has 2 cylinders and can fill double the speed... is this choice not a double so good compared to the orange box?

I haven't got experience with that particular compressor model but I do have faith in the tuxing stuff. I bought about the biggest compressor they make and it's been solid so far.
