FX Where to find a Barrel band?? i need a barrel band for my dreamline lite with 700cc carbon bottle.

great! i am so getting this bigger twin cylinder unit.. am so glad i did not buy the single cylinder because it costs almost the same here..
The little orange guy has its benefits being 12v, and it's a double acting single cyl so it's not what you may have feared. I liked them because they have so many modular off the shelf "lego" parts for them on ali express and theyve been pretty durable aside from 1 motor failure . The best solution ive found is air storage. That's why I bought a 4 cylinder compressor and keep a bunch of scbas, paintball buddy bottles and even a scuba tank and an airplane cylinder.

I think you've noticed this but I'm not too brand loyal to justify a purchase. If something is good it's good, if its fixable or totally out of my knowledge, or junk.... I will be honest about it. There was some questionable build quality on my tuxing for what I paid, but it was adjusted out after some critical thinking and to their credit it didn't leak from any of the numerous joints for being a 4 cyl radial with 2 stages or air treatment.

Hi guys

i will start by saying that i hate the fact that i have to look for this ugly barrel band on such a good, expensive airgun- this seems to be a weak point to its design but hey, it is what it is..

i will swap my cylinder for a 700cc carbon bottle (2024 dreamline lite with .30cal 600mm barrel)

i am looking for a cool looking barrel band that has a rail on the bottom for the bipod

i can not find anything except those ugly looking tinny bands that fit the barrel/cylinder.. but not much for the carbon bottles

so maybe some of you got already some bands for your carbon bottles and care to share a photo and a link to the product

i know one can print 3d anything but i cant.

this is the bottle i will get- length 410mm, diameter 60mm..

If you really want a barrel ban then I highly recommend Jake at [email protected].

If he does not already have it on his web site he will design and print you one to your specifications.

you also have a large 4 cyl unit.. do you think this 2 cyl requires me to run water hoses to it like the yeng hongs did or is it some how better designed?

yes- you might be right.. i need to investigate some more :ROFLMAO:
No big deal, probably comes with pump and hoses, just need a 5 gallon bucket. Many Yong Heng owners add ice, or frozen water bottles, to keep water cool. Narrative states to change water when heats up, ice bottles help in that regard. Best of Luck, WM

I don't know much about .30. But, there is a trend that seems to be universal..

H&N slugs seem to be the best in .22 and .25, by far. I have a 700mm DRS it has the power to shoot heavy heavy .22 slugs at great power, but I prefer shooting HN 21-23 gr and Griffin 19 and 21gr slugs at very high speed. The flat trajectory makes quick shooting of pests very simple, it extends my Point blank range and my shot count.

Id recommend trying HN Slugs first, ZAN slugs 2nd

Help me out please! i know you like to tinker with your air rifles :)

and i know that you use slug liner in your dreamline 25 and its your favorite gun.. so..

i too want to get the most out of my new DL lite .30 cal 600mm

so tell me please what items i need to buy in order to shoot those wonderful H&Ns 50gr slugs at 900 or 950 or even faster:)

i believe you said that one needs to get dual port, spring, liner , 2 power plenums.. is that all? in which order..

Huma Air sells a Slug power kit. They also sell a dreamline regulator that has a higher pressure tuning range of 135bar-200bar. You're going to want the high flow transfer port, the high flow pin probe, the power tune spring. One or two plenums it's up to you. I would really take some time to learn your gun with pellets or even slugs as it is now. Once you know the capabilities of your particular gun and you have the tuning down pat then start the tinkering. However all of these things are plug and play. So nothing irreversible. I have never shot a .30dl. There is an AEAC video specifically about power tuning the .30 dreamline. You might want to watch it .

When you're looking for the power tuning regulator. Make sure you're getting the bottle version

i am already ordering the bottle adapter and 700cc cf bottle plus 2 plenums...

and like you said i will leave it at that..

and first learn this beast they way it is before i buy all those high flow components..

you are right- its too much at once for me to handle.. i need to learn how to tune it the way it comes and tinker later.

do you think i will be fine with a cheap vector optics grizzly for 150euros 6-15X50 sfp scope?

i watched that video 3 times already :ROFLMAO:

Luckily Huma Air is relatively close to you compared to me. Be prepared to have to assemble the regulator yourself. Make sure you have the Belleville springs properly configured.

In .25 ive gotten great results from Zan and HN slugs even at relatively lower velocity.. 860-890. Wherever you find stability and great accuracy. Just hold her there. With the .25 slug liner I have on my gun I seem to have gotten a very good one. Any slug that the gun shoots well at the test velocity it has shot well at every velocity. I really got the power tune kit to shoot heavy mark 2s faster. Slugs retain energy and velocity much more effectively than pellets so them flying great at 890 was plenty pellets are just a touch more precise at best I was getting 34gr mk2 out the barrel at 855fps. I wanted 900 give or take and I got it, now my typical hunting/Pesting distances are covered.

That will suffice, I'm sure of it. I like my vector, but, im a particular fan of discovery optics and I personally prefer first focal plane. You'll figure it out either way.

yes- i was afraid you would say that :ROFLMAO: dismantle the reg...uff

maybe later i will try, for now i will learn the basics the way the gun comes in...i just bought it online for 1200euro, comes in 10 days or later
