Where to find well made eye cup/shade

It seems that many of the FT guys have eye cups/shades, but I don’t seem them much in the other styles, so I’m hoping you folks can help me.

I’m trying to find a decent eye cup, but all I’m finding are the cheap pieces of flimsy rubber from China. I still tried one out for $4, but it is useless. Can’t really adjust it for eye relief and it just flops. I have seen some on some FT gear that seem more well made and sturdy, but I can’t seem to find where there are being sold. I can’t search with finer search terms, because I don’t know any models or brand names. Just seeing the same cheap stuff that all looks the same.

Shooting at the house, in the morning, I need shade to keep the glare down. I don’t use an umbrella (but may need to change that) and the only flop hat that I have big enough to actually shade the scope is my wife’s flowery hat. But it works, for now.

is there anything else out there for those of us with eyeglasses? and if so where

UTG makes one that will fit multiple size oculars. I have one on my M-rod and it is nice. I did (however) have to do quite a bit of hand cutting and shaping to make it fit "just perfect". They are cheap enough and might be a good start point.

Bisley makes some nice ones. I have made some with rubber foam sheets (12 X 12, I think). I bought It at Hobby Lobby and carefully glued together with contact cement. Trim to suit your needs.

I might try the Bisley if I can find one. I had seen good things about those but couldn’t find one. Tried the cheap $4 and it is not for me.

IF your scope has a short eye relief...MTC VIPER Connect scope includes a nice one. Contact an MTC dealer such as AoA or Trenier to inquire about just that eeyepiece..you can run a thin walled PVC pipe to extend for longer eye relief scopes too just match press fit to your ocular and trim.

Thanks for that too. I was trying to find scopes that might come with them. I saw the Sightron, but it looks like the $4 I bought. The MTC one looks like it might be a little better.
