Have a new tank,it’s filled now but looking for places that will fill it. I’m in liberty , NY….willing to travel 1 plus hours if I have to.. I’ll keep looking,Ang help appreciated
Just by the adapter.Google Maps for a Paintball shop, airsoft shop or dive shop near you. You've got one 12mi from you, call them up see how much they charge/what adapters they have what they can fill etc.
If they don't have what you need, keep looking.
I have a compressor for when I shoot from my yard range. Bottle is for away matcheswas in the same boat as you sort of, called multiple places today - fire protection tank filling ($58), paintball ($10),airgas and a welding supply place. Paintball shops can do it, welding shops will not unless you have one of their steel tanks. When you call mention 4500 psi. These places are all around 30+ min away. I may still get a bottle in the future but for now went with the air Venturi Rovair compressor (to fill the gun only). You can also still use your tank when it runs low and then top off your gun with the portable compressor.
i don't live in NY but i'm able to get mine filled thru scuba equipment shops. just let them know you need regular air, nothing special. scuba shop does need to know your PSI. mine is 4500 PSI and they had a pump that maxes out at 4300 PSI. i was ok with that and it costed $7 bucks. they also asked for a picture of the connector to the air tank. so i sent that to them and the had the correct adapters and was able to fill it up. it took about 15mins for them to fill it up.Have a new tank,it’s filled now but looking for places that will fill it. nice. ill look into the tuxing 32! can it fill up an air tank or just the pcp rifle?I use to go to a dive shop, 20 min away, $15, great service, 4500 psi then some ....gal....trying to be polite here, came in and decided that there was no way she'd fill my tank, made every excuse in the world. I finally said to H with it and bought a Tuxing 032 with auto shut off...details about that in this forum somewhere, been working great, has almost paid for itself in time alone.
Both but I prefer to fill the tank. Key is good oil. Stay far away from Royal Purple, Seco Lube is very good. Water wetter for the coolant. There are a few threads here on the Tuxings. They have their issues but they try to make things right. Takes me about 20 min to go from 3000bar to 4500 bar in my 74cf tank. Key is to drain the water frequently when filling, every 5 min or so. I've got almost 10 hr. on mine, basically an hour a month, or 3 tanks.nice. ill look into the tuxing 32! can it fill up an air tank or just the pcp rifle?
