Wheres the 3 GRAND

While I pre-order pellets now and then,
1: I've never pre-ordered a rifle and I most definitely wouldn't be shelling out $3000 just to be the first kid on the block to get the latest, newest toy coming to market, and
2: Never been a fan of buying a brand new gun to the market. They all seem to have a bug or 3 and for my $3000, I shouldn't have to fix or tweak a single thing on that rifle.
Likely not a popular opinion, just mine...lol

You are right to ask , but you really shouldn't have too. If they have taken a dime from anybody then they should be posting monthly updates at least.
I have to agree. I'm waiting to see first hand user experience - I mean they haven't even gone out to reviewers yet. It would be encouraging to see Skout as an active member here responding to these threads and keeping people informed. IMO there is way to much vaporware at the moment to even consider a pre-order let alone a purchase.

All I know is Scout has a big pair for coming out with a $3000 gun as their first venture into the airgun market. Their targeted customers represent a small portion of the market. And from that small group not a lot of those customers are going to be willing to drop 3k on a rifle/brand that hasn’t been proven.

I do hope they succeed though. I love a good underdog story.

Even when I'm not a fan... what they are offering better for a grand more than the mk3 .. or the full size rti with the new balance valve.. there is any combination you could think of that could be made with the new impact .. and if rti were a bit more intelligent since the twist rates are almost..or figured out..they would come out with slow twist for pellet n fast twist for slugs... So why should someone want to buy a scout gun.. is not a matter of money..you want my 3 grand tell me why I should spend it with you.. you spend 3 grand on a Slayer you know why you purchased .. no questions asked.

If one of their main selling points is operating at low reg pressures, I wish they would show that. Even a short video of the regulator's set point and some chrony strings with common pellets would be appreciated. I also understand that they will come with 3 different barrels. At least show some accuracy groups with the different barrels or maybe how to switch between them. So far to date, I've only seen that one video of the dude shooting at the bench but that's about it. Just feed us a little at a time. Don't starve the trolls.

@AtlasAirguns I misunderstood. Shot Show is in January? I don’t know when their projected release date is. I recall reading something about a February date that was given as a latest date to expect a rifle for pre-orders. It’s been a while since I read that.

Edit: It’s here. At the bottom of their second photo in the first post. Pre-orders can start requesting refunds after January 31, 2023. To me that says they should be delivering product by then. In business, who wants to issue refunds?

Yeah sorry text is not the best format to talk because of the interpretations that can come out of it. I hope the best for Skout and hopefully they get some airguns out to reviewers/consumers soon. And again, I wonder if they will be at Shot 2023.

Well put!!!

I think whomever is in charge of marketing hasn't figured out we aren't paintballers. Lol

In the paintball market back when I "balled" they were the budget level entry gun for guys who wanted to be "competitive in speedball tournaments" they were not nearly as rugged as the high end guns they targeted but they sold very well because the kid mowings lawns to ball could afford them. Their claims on this thing are absolutely wild.

It will be great when someone puts one of these against a Daystate Redwolf to see the comparisons that can be drawn, and write up a pros and cons. At 3k, I think it's competitors would be the Redwood/Alpha Wolf.

After owning an Alpha Wolf I am just going to say, it won't be hard to beat. lol
