Other Which 30 cal

Like I mentioned above you can get a used FX for the same or less than an AEA. I dont shoot matches either, but I brought that up since you will never ever ever see any AEA on the podium. Please post a video of your accuracy results, I dont think you will be anywhere close to an FX. I dont mind being wrong but so far its just your opinion vs mine, and I have experience with both brands.

I would never insist anyone needs to buy an FX over xyz, you can get a proven AF for less than an AEA. Those rifles have been taking down big game for decades and even the AEA cant keep up with their fpe numbers. And I will not stop posting my opinion, I wouldnt say that to you. IF you cant handle a differing opinion like an adult this might not be the forum for you.
It has nothing to do with your opinion. You just act like aea is shot and your fx are just so much better. Those of us that hunt don't care about an extra cm of accuracy. What gun is on the podium means nothing to me and alot of others. I know my aea is dead accurate. I tell you what I'll post my accuracy at 100yds with the fpe that I'm shooting at and you do the same and well let the people asking about heavy slugs and hunting decide what gun they think is better for them. You might be shooting hole in hole but I bet my slugs will still be touching each other almost hole in hole with way more power than what your putting out and AF is nice but they are single shot. They only get about 5 shots max and the adjustability just doesn't match what can be done on other guns.

As a hunter don't underestimate Texans because of their single shot. I use too also, I thought if it didn't have a mag, I didn't want it, that was until a friend of mine bought a AF. He told me how good it was so my next pcp I bought one, .308 and it's been my main pcp for hunting. The shot count doesn't affect me because I hunt tethered from a blind. The more power the more air used, the Texan .308 is probably one of the best coyote and long distant pcp.

Just how heavy of a slug do you want to shoot ? 300 or even 200 fpe aren’t necessary for a coyote. If you want well beyond 100 let’s face it a PB will be much better suited. If I wanted a good relatively hard hitter 30 I would probably wait out bullet central. They have a pretty sweet slightly built up maverick. They are 1550 right now which isn’t terrible but they have had a couple sales in the recent past that brought it down to 1400. Even there they didn’t sell one. They are going to have to come off the price. They have had 5 in stock forever. I think eventually there will be a screaming deal to be had. It even comes with over 100 dollars worth of ammo.

The Texan .308 with a 150-grain slug is a solid choice for coyotes, offering excellent power and accuracy. In terms of range, it can effectively take down a coyote at distances up to 100-150 yards, depending on your shot placement and environmental conditions. Beyond that, the slug's trajectory and energy drop significantly, so precision becomes more challenging. I would push it to 180 because mine is no longer stock. I think given that range a .223 at 1200 fpe is a bit too much, plus in N.Y you can't run a moderator so at night it isn't a good idea. I like being undetected

I almost bought a Texan and I probably still will later on in the year. They have great power and accuracy and I'm not shooting more than one shot back to back anyway so the single shot doesn't even really matter. It just might not be the gun for everybody. I tell people all the time on the Facebook group about the Griffin boattails but some people won't try them just because they have to be single loaded.
