Other Which Bullpup style .177

So, I've decided I need a short, accurate .177 to play with at 25+yd and I have a few on my short list. They are: Snowpeak T-Rex($246), Snowpeak P35($443), Brocock Compatto XR non-regulated and regulated($779 & $899), and finally the Brocock XR Sahara($1299). I wont lie that cost/value mean a lot, but accuracy has to be there. Anyone with firsthand experience? What pellet worked well for what airgun. Need some insight. Thanks

The unregulated Brocock Compatto was the BRK that set its hooks in me through in the field performance. My Bantam Sniper HR solidified my love, the BRKs are simply awesome in the field performers… I am a known fan of the brand through use, so take my written words as such…🙏 Do a search on the BRKs here on AGN, you’ll get plenty of insight…

Would the unregulated version match the reg one in accuracy?

I've had numerous bullpup configuration rifles and several in .177. Recently picked up a used P35x and I have to say I'm tickled with it. Fit and finish is nice. Cant say how it does with pellets as I've turned it up to shoot slugs and it's doing well with those out to 50 yards. I've only had it a few days so no extensive testing, but very windy this past Friday and still was getting .5 @ 50 for 5 shots with JSB Knockouts at 25fpe.

Brocock!

My buddy has an unregulated Compatto .177. To date I’ve never shot a gun offhand better than I could shoot that thing. And it’s definitely not fair to compare it to the Snowpeak stuff. It’s at a whole different level. With Snowpeak, no matter what anyone says, you’re still flirting with getting a bad gun. But it’s not as bad as it used to be. Now I think if you and two buddies all buy the same Snowpeak, one of you will definitely have the best gun. A lottery. But if you want a .177 just on a whim, then maybe buying a cheaper gun is the way to go. Just depends on your financial situation.

How accurate? At that range you can go with a Hatsan Jet.

Going back to my photoss, pretty sure this was at 25 yards

I have a Hatsan Jet in .177 & had issues with accuracy and a broken poppet valve. Maybe shortsided but I wont buy another Hatsan.

I did not like my jet 2 either. But hatsan rifles are amazing when you get a good one I will say that, and although their customer service has improved one thousand fold, it's not always worth the hassle.

I would pick either a P35 or a Stoeger Bullshark if budget matters. If you can swing a Brocock you won't regret it.
