Karma Which optic are you running on this?

Got a Athlon Helos G2 2-12x42 in mil on my Steyr ProX and there isn't a optic regardless of price that I'd rather have on there. Heck I could put my March Shorty 1-10 DFP on it if I wanted to but nope.
And until something comes out like the HG2 that is higher quality it's staying there, or actually I'm not sure I care at this point.

Lots of great features on that scope, and well priced. In the past, I’ve owned a few Midas tactical scopes, and they were a great bang for their buck. Though the reticle on the Midas Tac was very thin. I like the reticle on the Mil Helos.

But I’m thinking something even smaller and with less magnification might suit the SLS. I’ll probably start by plinking some steel at close to mid range in semi auto 🤘🏼

2-8x32 Vector Veyron SFP dot IR super clear, not too thin small like most vector reticles. Under 9" long and under 16oz

If you watch Ebay you can still find good prices on these older Leupold scopes. They have auto shut-off shake awake center dots and a good medium thickness reticle for brush walking, and they are about 10oz!

Leupold 115387
1.5-4x

I have 3 of these. LOVE them.

  • less than 16 oz
  • Leupold quality/lifetime warranty
  • focus down to 17 yds at 12x. 10 yds at 4x
  • mil dot
  • made in USA

Well now, I just might have to pull out my ProX10 and remove my SWFA ultra light and try the above mentioned Athlon on it.
scope in picture is not the SWFA ultra light

Thanks everyone, but I'm thinking something even quicker and smaller. Perhaps and LPVO, a Reflex Dot with a magnifier, or a medium powered Element Immersive scope.

I think I'll start off shooting some steel in semi-auto mode. Let's see how this Holosun combo works

I would use what @JaceSpace1369 recomends. I use a similar scope on my AR. I can be precise or go nuts depending on the situation and never get caught being a zoomy.
I know a lot of people like that scope. If we’re talking variable magnification I only use FFP scopes. I’ve got an awesome 1-7x LPVO, but I just mounted it on my DRS Tactical.

I‘m gonna shoot some steel, then probably swap the dot/magnifier for the Element Immersive 5x. Thats more than enough magnification for sub 50y shooting.
