Which stock are you choosing?

In that platform, I'll go with the Safari because of the adjustable cheek riser but I generally like a nice piece of walnut.

All I can say is thank god I don’t have to make that decision. The good thing is I would take whatever the vendor had in stock and live happily ever after with no regrets. If they have both, hell, I might even start a topic.

You know the more I look at them I think I know what I would do. If I was going to primarily hunt with it, walnut. If it was going to spend more time on bags punching paper, the laminate.

Bench shooting to me is a boring necessity to get to the field. As Vetmx said the laminate would be great for the bench but for me the Classic good looks of the walnut wins hands down and the reduced weight is an added bonus.

AFAIK, the Safari editions are not laminate stocks but I've been wrong before. They have a painting process that gives it a textured look and feel. I really don't know what type of wood is underneath the paint job.

My preference, if it were available would be walnut with adjustable cheekpiece. But, my Revere and scope ring height worked out just right for me so walnut with regular stock configuration is perfect. Kind of glad because the stock is a piece of artwork.

Tough. I like the shape of the Safari stock better but for me I like a wood stock with a natural looking finish. The grain in the walnut stock is gorgeous.

Walnut all the way. Safari is like a bed liner texture. I have had my walnut over the hill and through the woods and the nicks and scratches makes her look pretty. Best rifle ever.

2nd pic at a different angle makes it look weird so wood stock. * make the pic same angle on gun

Since I am blessed to already have a Huntsman with a walnut stock I would choose the Revere with the Safari stock. It sure does give the rifle a different look

I would say Safari as it is ambidextrous. Walnut is better looking to me but limits you to either right or left hand.
