Which sub $500 HPA compressor on Amazon to get?

Others here on AGN have posted that they bought from this vendor, and it was a genuine YH: https://www.ebay.com/itm/224382665774.

When I was looking at compressors a while ago, there was a vendor on Walmart selling (supposedly) genuine YH models, and one of their pictures had a letter from YH specifying them as an authorized reseller. Walmart is not the vendor - they've modified their website into an Amazon-like clone. Strangely, they used to list more compressors, but maybe its just a search term thing.

Yong Heng parts: https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20201105121505&origin=y&SearchText=yongheng

That eBay listing is the most promising option so far. Free shipping, free returns and supposedly a "lifetime warranty". I may give that a try.

Yes, Walmart has switched to the Amazon sales model. The only benefit now is that a return can be taken to any local Walmart store, which for me is almost no benefit at all.

How about a HOOMYA, also cheap and fills larger bottles...

My trigger finger is saying "do it do it do it do it do it"

Thats just a Yong Heng knockoff. Just get the one I have listed with the 4 year warranty plan. Its an extra $44 and you definitely want the extra assurance.

Not in the states, but this is the same right?

Stupid question. What do I need to make this fit with Hatsan gear? A Sortie and Factor FDE?

What compressor oil are people using? I'll need to order some if I get the YH.

I started out with Royal Purple and then quickly switched over to Seco Lube 500. Many run the Royal Purple and have no issues. The Seco Lube is actually designed for high pressure compressors specifically. I bought a gallon jug from Filtertechs. Google will take you there........

Guys how do I tell if the one you listed from ebay is the Hardcover or Set Pressure model?? I have so many friends who have used Aliexpress and got screwed over I just cannot shop with them. I am looking at the ebay listing above and see you will be on the hook for returning the item to china and paying the ride home too for warranty. I have tried to look at the different Amazon listings but am having the same issue. I do not know what one of the pumps I would be getting. The amazon listing above is not a true Yong Heng

Stretch, It would seem I have so many tabs open for this compressor I was reading the wrong one. Yes it does claim it has a lifetime warranty.

Do you know what model this one is from TN_Yankee post. The ebay seller named best-homepro? I only say this because others have gone to great lengths to tell us to make sure we do not get certain models.

I just looked at the sellers other items and am more confused than I was.

Guys....

Lifetime warranty is against defects not normal wear. Free return shipping is generally only for 30 days and does not apply to the "warranty". The Ebay seller does not service warranty claims, the manufacturer does. Find a warranty number for the manufacturer..... bet you can't. Get the Amazon one with the service plan for $100 more.

Yes says HOOMYA brand. I am going to step back since I seam to be mucking up the waters here. I just wanted to buy a compressor. This item is not in the usa. I am. Sorry to confuse everyone.

A yong heng is a very very simple machine, get spare parts, have on hand, fix when need be instead of waiting and having down time while someone else maybe fixes your machine. I think if you can't find your way around a wrench then maybe 4500 psi isn't the safest toy to play with...

Dude I'm a mechanic by trade and can fix this thing in my sleep. Not everyone can so don't even start with that. A free 4 year replacement is always better than fixing it yourself. On top of that, you still have to wait for parts to fix it yourself. It is faster just to have Amazon ship out another...

These compressors that have been listed are NOT genuine Yong Hengs. Some of the parts will work, others will not.

I edited my comment as to not get into this because the assumption on your end would be to think that I was speaking specifically to you, when I wasn't, so , hang tight, relax a bit.

I ordered 2 yong hengs on accident, same supplier, one had no sticker on the side, one had a sticker on the side. Everyone told me that one wasn't a genuine yong heng, it is. Both were ordered through walmart. Its easy to tell which compressors use parts that are interchangeable with "genuine" yong hengs.

With that said, down time to me isn't acceptable, and as I stated, buy spare parts, or buy 2 compressors and be right around $500 and have one to run while you repair the other. Waiting sucks.

What part of my comment didn't seem "relaxed" first of all. Second of all, I do agree having two compressors is the way to go. That does not change the fact that most people cannot fix a compressor themselves. I've seen what most people call fixes on even more basic things like brakes on a car. There is absolutely a basic know how to things like this. You are dealing with upwards of 4500psi of pressure, small mistakes can lead to big problems.

I'm done talking about this. It isn't my money and I don't know what these guys are actually capable of fixing/diagnosing. My recommendation stands. Get the Amazon option with the service plan.

My point exactly.

This is just my thoughts on any compressors, they all are going to fail at some point. What is importin is, is it rebuildable? can you get parts? are there video's to show how? I think HY would be a great compressor and tuxing is another to look at BUT, Kevo1288ke has a very good point and the down time SUCKS, been there.
