I'm a little lost, your regulators should not be set higher than 120b, maybe 125b. If you remember, every 25ish bar on the regulator increase or decrease is a gain or loss of about 60fps. For my U2 compact when I git it from @Scott.t the reg came set at 105b pushing 15.89gr at 860-865fps. I brought it down to 83b and it's doing 798-801fps. At 860fps the 18.13gr were going 815-820. So I don't see why your reg is set to 150b, I should be around 130max for those speeds. Specially since you have a longer barrel and better regulator.
I don’t know what the reg is set to right now. The gauge is at 150 bar, still on the reg, and I need to chrony another mag to see what pressure it falls off the regulator. I will find this out hopefully this evening. The U2 compact reg is supposed to be at 95bar from the factory according to the chart on Talon Airguns website.

Your valve also may need adjustment, btw you can only go so far back on the hammer spring adjustment before you can no longer fit the gun back in the stock. Unless they recessed the back interior of the stock..
Yes I was looking at that as well. They have not recessed the interior of the stock. How is the valve adjusted?

That's what it's supposed to come from factory to give you the factory numbers but mine was 105b.

I just received my U3 Compact Thursday. Tack driver and consistent velocity but sounds like it’s over hammered out of the box. Shooting FX 18.1’s at 886, only getting three mags (36 shots) per fill. Does this sound right to anybody else? Haven’t had a moment to back out the hs screw but hoping it’ll yield more shots and sound better. My WCMKIII was getting over 50 (same speed) with a smaller air capacity and only a 230 bar fill. But it did have 100mm more runway. I’ll post with an update after adjusting the hs tension. Oh and the synthetic version U3 comes with a metal handguard.

Also have the U2 .30 600mm. It’s just as good! 54 shots per fill. 1 MOA at 100 with NSA 49.5gr at 887fps factory tune. The compact U3 .22 unmoderated sounds just as loud as the U2 .30 unmoderated, just snappier so I think it’s getting too much air before the valve closes.

Mine came with a bit too much hammer as well. Don’t remember how much I backed it out but maybe a turn or so?! Just play with it :)

@JaceSpace1369 I didn’t have to back it out as much as with the U2, so didn’t have to mod the stock to fit it back in :) the U3 valve seems to be way easier to adjust/tune with hammer only.

Sweet! That's a plus! Hopefully that's due to your valve being set perfectly.

I’m hoping that’s the simple fix. Thanks

That questions is gonna be for you to find out, as everyone has different standards. But given that it has a better regulator, better trigger that is easier to adjust, the breach throat is wider, the compact is 400mm rather than 360mm, and longer picatiny rail on top. I would think all of these things would make the extra $400 worth it.

@greenbeans you have the 600mm right?
I have the two and I cannot imagine being it much better than it already is although it would be nice to have easier access to the regulator and the hammer spring and a removable bottle without having to get a new shroud. Aside from those improvements, I am pretty ecstatic with my U2 30 cal

I don't mind having to remove the stock to adjust the hammer and the valve. I do dislike having to degas the gun for tuning but if you have a spare buddy bottle and buddy valve, it will work and you will.no longer have to degas the gun everytime you want to access the regulator.

I have the Uragan 2 BPS 700 .22, the Vulcan 3 BPS 700 in. .25 and .30.
They all shoot great. The Vulcan has a bit more power. I Iove these guns. The U 2 shoots a bit smoother. The CZ barrel is one of the best barrels.
I like the weight of the guns. I had a FX Crown, easier to tune, but to light for me.
The AirMax Krait X is also a great gun with the same barrel.
