Which YouTubers give negative reviews?

I love it when one of these paid 'reviewers' reviews a gun I'm intimately familiar with. Something where I know all of the flaws and shortcomings. I then watch them give that gun a shining review without mentioning a single fault. This completely gives the game away...
Do they omit discussing the weaknesses or straight up lie about them?

I think even with paid reviewers there can be value in listening closely to what they don’t talk about. Those are issues they aren’t going to address.

I too get tired of the "lipstick on a pig interviews".
If i advertised a used airgun in the classifieds as producing extreme spreads of 40 fps over a full string, would you beat a path to my door to get your hands on it? At least they published the truth, but it's laughable how they try to make it sound soooo good!
I mostly watch reviews to see "some“ idea of what the gun is like, since i don't live near a high end airgun shop.

I watch all of the videos I can find on an air gun I'm interested in buying, and one of the ones is done by J C of Air guns Detectives. Also like about three or so other videos. Charles

The worst channel in existence to put any weight in toward whether to buy something or not. Has he ever shot a group bigger than .000000000001 of an inch ? Has he ever even missed in his life? One channel I actually quit and refuse to watch even for entertainment purposes.

I see a lot of people complaining that there aren’t individuals out there buying every model of airgun on their own dime and providing fully independent reviews all edited and pretty on YouTube.

Are any of the complainers doing this already? Maybe they should consider that.

I have some access to a variety of airguns between my own and fellow club members. I also had a steady stream of rimfire guns to test by way of a friend who buys and sells regularly with time in between to do a little testing. We considered doing a YouTube channel but the amount of hours required simply wasn’t worth it.

I don't expect to see full on reviews from actual owners of the guns I'm interested in but, with these forums, I can take something from each posting related to the gun and put that all together. And it's not just from one gun that the vendor prechecked before sending to the reviewer. These are true out of the box guns. Also, not everyone sees the gun the same... not everyone has the same intended use for the gun. I get to see how the gun matches up to the expectations of the individual's purpose. They ain't trying to sell me a gun.

The forums are absolutely the best resource for choosing a gun. Hardly anyone has a monetary interest in them and they're not afraid to complain about problems. Also, there are a lot of people on the forums who have had the guns for years and have a long term perspective on them or can tell you why they got rid of them. Youtube reviewers often have a cherrypicked gun for only a few days.
