TMH, how do you like the uragan 25 .?
I like it a lot. Had previously gotten a Uragan Compact in .22, and that shot so nicely that I wanted to get a Standard when I found a good enough deal. Thought I might have to wait a little longer, for someone to sell or trade in on a new Vulcan 3 or something. But this one came available at a good price, considering the scope which was on it.
My original experiences with Uragans were a little less than stellar. It was a King in .30 cal. Couldn't hold a group at 50 yards. Sent back to AoA under warranty, and they tried all of their in-house magic but couldn't get any better performance than I was having. Ended up the gun had a defect in the barrel so they had to get a new one from AGT, which took a little bit during COVID. Gun came back shooting fine - but was a challenge to shoot well
for me, so I sold it off.
As received my new/used Standard really seems to like Heavies (better than MkII's) and shoots them in the 830's. 25.39's group less well, but it is pushing them out in the 940's. May have had a little clipping as I see the end of the mod has been relieved a bit (looks professionally done). Need to shoot the 25.39's without the mod and see how they group, or maybe just up the power a bit to shoot the Heavies maybe in about the 850's.
Even though the Uragans (especially the Kings) are not light guns, perhaps the power that my .30 was putting out and the gun's form factor/fit for me just made it more difficult
for me to shoot well. I'm not finding that to be the case at all for my .22 Compact or .25 Standard. It might also be that it has been some months since I sold my King, and with a lot more shooting under my belt maybe it just might be that my shooting has also improved.
