N/A Who likes .20?!?!

I’m like Shambozzie and absolutely love my Theoben rapid .20 that Allen Zasadney built.
It’s unbelievably accurate. These two groups are five shots at 130 yards using the lighter pellets, it doesn’t do quite as well with the heavies.
Only my RedWolf .177 HP shooting slugs
has come close to these groups at that distance.
But if there’s ANY wind at all the pellets drift right out of the group.
It was dead calm when I shot the groups.
If I could only have one rifle it would absolutely be this one.

I had forgotten you scored one these rare Thoeben’s in .20 Dave. Gorgeous doesn’t do it justice!

Would love to find one.

Edgun is one that I know for here in the US. Air force is another. A few of the smaller manufacturers would probably do a 1-off if ordered. The rest are Europe based. PA initially had the HW110 for sale in .20 when they came out, but that fell through. I was going to get one up until that point. Ended up going with Edgun instead. Daystate, I believe, still has some but I'm not really sure anymore.
Easiest thing to do is email the companies and ask.

Thanks!

Hi tommyb, next time I talk to Allen I’ll ask him if he knows of any more of these.
He’s building me a Steyr LP custom pistol and hopefully will be calling sometime soon!
I had seen a video of an English guy who was sighting in his Theoben by shooting a hole in a blank sheet of paper, and then shooting at the hole.
He barely made the hole bigger and I never forgot that video.
I had decided to call Allen Z. to inquire about buying a high end airgun, and when he sent me pictures of three rifles he had
available I instantly grabbed the Theoben and it’s been my favorite rifle ever since.

To me, that just shows accuracy of the setup and the shooter matters more than how fast they are pushed or how hard they hit.

I didn't feel at much of a disadvantage with the .20 slugs at the Ultimate FT match last night- my 5 misses were actual misses. Brain farts, pulled shots, etc.

BUT using the pellets at EBR and seeing a 29/40 on the scorecard instead of the 34/40 that I actually scored bugs me a bit. I knew going in that it probably wasn't enough energy to reliably knock all of them down so I've got nobody to blame but myself. Regardless, I had fun stretching the limits of what is possible, just like I do with my pesting.

You lucky dog you!

JK, but fate was on your side when you called Allen Z. You made a very wise choice in buying that gun. You hit a Grand Slam homer with the Rapid.

While not shot often ... my most unique .20 is an EDGUN LEYLA 1st gen. It is just as accurate as the larger guns, just harder to get a hold as stable due to VERY compact nature of the design.

A little Lelya .20 came up in the classifieds awhile back and I had a hard time talking myself out of buying it. Ultimately concluded it was too much overlap with my .20 Veteran Short, but I still kinda wish I'd jumped on it.

@shambozzie Is the .20 ammo readily available or is it harder to find? Is it priced similarly to .22 ammo? I see the pellets per tin seem to to be the same 500 count.
Not directed at me, but if I may...

Bought a bunch of JSB 13.7 a few weeks back from Trenier, came to ~4.4 cents per pellet after shipping. At the time, JSB .20 was in stock at Trenier, AOA, UA, Pyramid, Baker Airguns, & The Pellet Shop, possibly others. Some had 13.7 & 15.9, some just one or the other.
