I just looked at their site, why would anyone buy these slugs in FX packaging from a retailer when you can get them from the manufacturer?

I didn't, but nowwwww........ Gotta love AGN.Probably because people not on sites like this don't even realize there is an RMR Bullets.
Yep, I learned about them here. They shot great in my 25 cal M3. Same settings as my Redesigns. I'm hoping to catch lightning in a bottle twice with my .22.I didn't, but nowwwww........ Gotta love AGN.
Honestly, I can barely keep up with what day it is, much less the various posts I do. It'd be nice is people go back and read the entire threads they'd probably find their answers there somewhere.@HogKiller Thanks. You realize that post #42 in that link is your post right?
...and to carry this forward, yesterday for the first time I shot groups alternating an rmr and fx hybrid and made perfect one expanded hole groups. They are the same. Buy which ever you can get the cheapest.Just found out about this thread. I have been shooting Impulse Air HBT and FX Hybrids in .30cal and they shoot the same. Just realized they are coming from the same line...
100% agree. I will be getting them the most cheapest I can....and to carry this forward, yesterday for the first time I shot groups alternating an rmr and fx hybrid and made perfect one expanded hole groups. They are the same. Buy which ever you can get the cheapest.
Who said anything about seconds? If you are referring to the RMR slugs they are not seconded in any way shape or form, They are dead identical to the FX packages. My background is measuring stuff to .0001" or closer but I don't have THAT equipment now. I've measured and have weighed and they are identical to well within statistical averages.. That said the new AEA slugs are even better and cheaper.Any thoughts on buying the ”seconds”? I’m tempted, especially when talking about ~$0.08 per shot (that’s cheaper than my .25 JSB Pellets)

Oh ok, I've never seen '2nds' the site. Guess I haven't looked close enough.I meant RMR’s ‘2NDS’… The ones they deem “unworthy”

These are 2nds because they may not meet our very strict weight variance tolerances. They still shoot great. Also, you may find a very few of them with some misshapen noses. We send extras so just toss them or shoot them for fun. RMR has been making some of the best bullets moneywww.rmrbullets.com
I know this is a few months old but curious if you ever gave the seconds a try. Stumbled across RMR seconds mentioned in a YouTube video and the price is really appealing. Guy reviewing said they shot just as good to him. Considering giving the .30 a try.Any thoughts on buying the ”seconds”? I ended up using leftover holiday funds and grabbed ~2,000 rounds of the non-seconds, namely because it was nothing out of my pocket. Unfortunately, it’s a little too cold and extremely windy to give them a try - so they’re collecting dust for the time being.I know this is a few months old but curious if you ever gave the seconds a try. The .30 is not as dirty as the .22 for some reason. Maybe because they are bigger the debris falls out easier. I know that I bought a box of the FX .22 Hybrids and I just rolled them in a paper towel and I couldn't believe all the stuff that kept coming out of 100 tiny bullets. More swarf(?) than 10 tins of any pellets I ever bought. I was stunned. I also concluded, though I don't know if this is true or not, that if I would have done the usual wash that some of that stuff wouldn't have come out because of the stiction and surface tension water creates. I have been dry rolling .22 and smaller calibers lately and it seems to do an as good or better job at getting the junk out, as Dawn and boiling water. I never did the acetone or brake cleaner cleaning because screw that, I'm not messing with that stuff, so I can not speak to how effective that is. I had to change the paper towel four times before nothing was coming out of, or off, the Hybrids. They are dirty buggers, but they are good shooters.I ended up using leftover holiday funds and grabbed ~2,000 rounds of the non-seconds, namely because it was nothing out of my pocket. However, I was impressed with their customer service, speed to ship, quality of the packaging, etc. I was curious why some folks were saying they’re dirty, as mine were clean (at least from my perspective). Hoping it gets a little better in the coming weeks to go test them out some.
Glad to hear you’ve had great luck overall with the seconds. The price difference is hard to ignore. As for defects, what have you found and is it a low percentage?I shoot the seconds in 22 and 30 . I will not buy any premium ones anymore. I’ve shot a lot of sleeves of hybrids and the seconds can be just as accurate. You will have to look at them as you are loading your mags because you will find some with defects.
