One other factor to consider is the "ford factor". I had an old ford, the joke was the name was an acronym which stood for "fix or repair daily'. The plus side was the ford was laid out so replacing starters, alternators, water pumps, belts and hoses was easy. Later I got a chevy, which expected you to yank the engine to replace the starter. So the other part of the equation is: "how many man hours each year to maintain". Some are a snap, others represent a bigger challenge.

Bauer Oceanus, had it for two years, filling three 97CF cf tanks from 3000 to 4400psi that takes 14min, I fill them 3 or more times a month, all I do is change the filter twice a year and the oil level never drop. wow even the intake filter even looks clean, I may change it every 2 years.

Altaros. Slow moving means less wear so, less maintenance. They supply you with an o-ring kit for if/when maintenance is needed.

Tom recommended one to me as well, and mine arrived yesterday. Last night, I charged my tank from 3500 to 4500 psi. It took about an hour, and the little booster worked brilliantly. For the price, I could not have possibly expected more!

Airetex I have an Airetex 45 . I bought it because I wanted "plug and play". That is exactly what I got. It has a moisture filter and is built like a tank. I fill my tank as well as several of my shooting buddies. In one year I have a little over 8 hours on it and it performs like a champ. Highly recommended, if you can swing it, get one.

I have a Shelden Kidde. I got it used from an AGN member who bought it in Dec 2015. He had less than 2 hours runtime. Since I've had it I've put 25 minutes on it. I think I have to change the filter and oil after 25 hours of runtime.
