Here's 5 sight-in shots last night. 25 yards, Cometa 400 .22, open sights, Crosman domes. Sitting in a lawn chair with elbows on my knees.

I took it one click right and set 5 shotgun shells at 65 yards. It took 8 shots to hit them all. One landed at 73 yards that made a decent target. It took 5 shots to hit that one. The shots all landed really close, probably a 2" spread.

I got real happy about that.

As of last night she is now officially Nuestra Senora Santa Maria Conchita Alvarez.

That one cometa kinda interests me it's the Fenix 400 compact with sights ( spring ). Seems a gun I could cope with.

Mine is a full length rifle with a gas piston.

Cometa 400 Fenix with a synthetic stock.

The open sights are iffy. I have a peep for it but I hate peep sights for plinking. I'm going to modify a Diana rear sight for it if I can't find anything else.

It kicks and jumps off your shoulder. That limb saver pad made all the difference. No more flyers at all. It just thumps them into the same spot really steady now even off a rest.

Those are my only criticisms after about 5000 shots. And I can bitch about anything.

When I get a scope mounted on it and my HW95 rebuilt I'm going to see which one shoots better. I think the 95 will shoot better groups. This one shoots a lot faster (745) and hits harder for sure. And the groups aren't shabby. So it's going to be a contest.

So far I have as many shots through it as my HW95 but my HW95 has been through two springs and is due for another.

Today I gave Maria the full spa treatment. Bore cleaning, a JB bore paste mudpack and a Kroil cream rinse. She's squeaky clean and ready to plink.

Went to the pellet pit and set out a target at 25. We were sitting in a lawn chair shooting off my knees. Maria likes it like that.

I shot my best 5 to see if she was still zeroed. The first went low. Shot 5 more at the second target just to make sure.

Plinked until after sundown. About 150 shots. I always shoot high when the light changes and the temps drop. Especially with an air rifle. I started missing high as usual.

Switched back to the lower target and shot my best 5. Sure enough about an inch high. I'm not sure whether it's light or temps or both but the POI rises a lot in the evening as the sun goes down.

She's going to shoot buttonholes when I put a scope on her and shoot her off a rest...

I replaced the Airmax scope on my HW97 with a new Sightron S1 this afternoon. Got it sighted in and gave it my best 5 @ 25. Of course #4 went into the weeds as a result of my sloppy shooting technique (sitting in a lawn chair shooting off my knees). I shot an extra shot to make up for it. 6 total shots.

The black dot on the target is .45. So they are about .030 CTC or less not including the spooky one. Even with the stranger they are all well under a dime.

Had just tuned an HW80 for a customer a week or so ago. It was received and tested by owner who in turn sent this photo to me stating how happy he is with the shot cycle, trigger and tune in general.
Got to say I'm impressed being shot with GTO's at over 900 fps at 25 yards ... Impressive by any standard of measurement :D

That's crazy good performance with tin pellets!

I tried a couple different light pellets way back when and didn't like them. They didnt group well and I was concerned they would be too light for the gun. I've always stuck to pellets 13-16 in my .22 rifles figuring that was the sweet spot. That's just an assumption based on extensive ignorance though.

I've heard guys praise them. I've been tempted to get some more and try again. That's super accuracy and blazing speed!

As just the tuner ... I too am a bit taken back on using such a LIGHT pellet in a magnum springer !!! Had no idea such light ammo would be used as I had data checked with JSB 15.9's prior to returning to customer.
At 25 yards YES that is some incredible shooting / accuracy ... as to how long the spring lives under such duty I've got no idea

That's about what I thought. I've had spring problems since I started this pellet gun gig. I don't want to make it worse.

The JSB 13.? shoot well out of my HW97. They sound different. I'm not sure if I like the sound. Based on that observation alone I haven't gone any lighter. The 14.6 FTT are mighty good.

Until I can shoot as well as the rifle I'm not going to change pellets. But it would be cool to get 900 fps and pinpoint accuracy like that. It's freaking awesome is what it is!

I shot one from the Webly Vulcan and got a loud crack as it exceeded the speed of sound. .177 GTO.
