Tubing would cost about $18.00 for 500mm so you are going to eat that unless you did a group buy.

3D printed moderators are plenty strong if designed correctly with good quality print/material. I have my 3D printed moderator on my Dynamic shooting a touch over 100FPE.

Yes a printed moderator will certainly handle 40 fpe. That is the maximum output specified on the Huben site for the .25.
