Why are Airgunners Always Crowing About Taipan Veterans?

I just happen to hate them:

Maybe it's the great trigger, that I detest.

Or the superb accuracy that I so despise.

Could it be the smooth cocking that I abhor?

Maybe it's the robust build and trouble-free functioning that I loathe.

I'll get back to you in about a month, after I reacquainted myself with the herd shown in the above photo.

I was a naysayer. Then I bought a used Vet compact .22. It's become my favorite shooter.

Amazing trigger, smooth cocking, very accurate, not too heavy, reasonable shot count. The rear cocking lever isn't my favorite feature, but it's become a non-issue. It's a keeper.

I ran across a used Mutant. Did not know much about the guns but really liked the size and the price was great so I bought it. I am so happy with this gun I just can’t believe I did not pay any attention to them. I can guarantee this will not be my last Taipan.

Ehh...yeah, nice but...

I bought one, just to see what all the hype is all about. MANY...other guns have much the same quality's...BUT...many other guns also have, modern day, front cocking arms. The biggest thing that I found, is the Taipans have a little more adjustability to the trigger. But, is it "really" really needed ?

I love hearing about this stuff on the Veterans and the Mutants, I bought one of the 1st Mutants to hit the states , I was a very active member on a site called T.A.G , I got on the AGN site was talking about how accurate , Stable and well built the Mutant was and got kicked off this site for talking up the Mutant air gun

I really love all you guys that like and love your Veterans and Mutant air guns, And it shows me how much this site has grown and matured to accept other brands than FX, As I have always said it would suck if everyone shot the same gun, Be pretty dull on the sites ,

I bought one because I was tired of spending my days off trying to get my gun tuned and never really shooting. No need to tune the vet just shoot it. My wife says it's the nicest thing we own lol
