WHY do "they" continually do this to us?!?

I ordered some JSB, 44.75 gr. pellets 2 days ago from A.D. NOTHING on their site about "not in stock" or "awaiting back order". I go to check status of my order just now & find that they, of course, don't have them in stock. Time & time again I've seen posts about this issue. They sure are quick to take our money but not so quick to inform us that what we need/want will not come in a timely manner. Not just A.D. but all manner of suppliers, manufacturers, etc. F**king pisses me off!!! I didn't ask them take care of my $ for a few weeks while I twiddle my thumbs. I'm an adult & I even have a wallet! I can hold my own money & safely too! Living in the "Disinformation age" is aggravating and I needed to vent. Now that I'm done I think I'll ask MY customers to pay me IN FULL but I'll deliver my services in a few & then a few more weeks & see how long those customers will stay with me. Venting done.

I find that PA is a lot better about it than many of the others. If they are out of stock they will usually say so ... especially on the pellets and a lot of times they will put a date on there with an estimate on when they will be available.

But generally, most suppliers do what they do because they think they can get away with it ... and by nd large ... they do!

Yup. Recently had an order in with AOA. Week or more went by and no email updates on the order...tracking number, etc. So called them up and asked what was going on. Was told that the order hadn't yet gone out because a moderator that was on the order wasn't actually in stock (despite it being in stock on the website) so that held up the entire rest of the order. The only response I could think of at the time: Um...were you ever going to tell me my order wasn't coming, and with no ship-date in sight?

Earlier this week a large order from Bass Pro Shops arrived. Or so I thought. Everything was on back order except the fly rod and reel. So now I have a fly rod and reel and no flies or poppers. They advertised FREE 2 DAY shipping so I pulled the line off all my reels to replace it with the new line that is now on back order. The only reason I ordered the line was because I couldn't find any locally. Now walmart has it back in stock. Grrrr.

Did you know about the bad service with Airgun Depot prior to placing your order? If you did, why even bother with them? Shop elsewhere. If you just wanted to vent, then it's all good. Sorry, not trying to be harsh or rude.

@Peskadot671, no worries brother, you weren't being harsh. The VERY 1st thing I looked at was availability & nothing on their site indicated those pellets weren't in stock so I ordered. A day & a half later I got the "back ordered" email. Already cancelled my order & got some FX .30 pellets from Pyramyd. They've already shipped plus I got a free tin and a 10% discount. There was a silver lining after all. I'm done with AD.

I’m with Gerry, as PA did exactly this same thing to me when I ordered 16 tins of 25 cal Barracuda Hunter extremes in 25 cal, two weeks before the Covid concerns all started. So that was months ago. At the time it said “in stock” so I placed enough of an amount to get the free shipping. Two days go by and an email comes out apologizing that they were out and I would be contacted as soon as they are back in stock. Meanwhile for 3 months they’ve had my $$ in their pockets.

Just three days ago I got an email saying they just shipped them. Go on their website and those pellets are listed as in out of stock. So it sounds as if they are spoon feeding orders as the pellets came in, catching up on back orders and not.

Im sticking with Treniers from now on

While I understand the advice to “Just Call the Order In 📞” We are in an age where there technically should be no excuse for this. These computers are able to run a business, fly an airplane, etc all by themselves. Inventory and par levels should be a piece of cake. If the system is in place, it should just work well most of the time. The ideal is for things to be fast & easy for the consumer. Otherwise we can just be living in 1980 (Not a totally bad idea though)
