The point of impact changes left or right depending on distance, card board 15 yrds and paper plate 35 yrds, scope alignment or what ?

Wind blowing left to right, should affect 35 y more, idiot possibility. If you know there are no issues with the scope and using the same weight pellet, it is probably wind/ mirage or the "idiot behind the sights" just a general term, not a shot at you personally LOL!
I didn't change adj on scope, not canting, not wind.Or adjustment is not tracking true up or down and slightly at a diagonal.. canting or not mounted true level, base/ mount, ect.. several things i guess you got to think on and look at and Figure out . If it's in a click or two and no wind push or tempture changes . I dont make it a big deal , heck could be my hold as well..
Scope should stay aligned if left alone between targets right?Scope not aligned. I have to shim the base of the rear ring on my BSA so the scope adjustments track vertical.

I didn't change adj during these two targets, can a scope still track poorly?Scope not aligned. I have to shim the base of the rear ring on my BSA so the scope adjustments track vertical.
Going to test for spiralingthen its either your scope isnt aligned to the bore.
or as was said earlier, maybe the pellets are going too fast and spiraling.
If it hit different poi horizontally at different distances, then it is not aligned with the bore. Unless you are not accounting for wind, wind is huge with a .177, so maybe verify a couple days apart. I click my scopes for every distance, but it is the same either way. It is easy enough to try a coke can shim on either side of the rear ring base to see if it changes.I didn't change adj during these two targets, can a scope still track poorly?
