You are lucky. I have 5 pecan trees that produce very well. I bought my place in 2011 and the number of good pecans I harvested in all these years would literally be less than that one bucket. I guarantee you I kill at least 60-70+ a year off my pecan trees, does no good. Last year, I killed about 40 in the month of October. I'm retired and guard my tree constantly. This year I'm averaging one or two a week, the numbers are way down.
