That every time I see a gun case for rifles they have the scope on the bottem so it takes all the weight ?

If it's fitted right; there is no weight on anything else. I usually add to the foam underneath so it clamps more

A properly fitting case won’t allow any weight on any part of the gun. Whether it’s the eggshell cases that hold the gun in place, ur the cutout foam style. When I open my cases, nothing has moved. That shows it’s in there securely.

Driving 150 miles on washboard road (cause they aint nothing close in Texas) seems like it would hurt the most delicate piece of your rig.

I put all my guns in the case with the scope towards the handle. It's just me over thinking everything. LOL

I sometimes carry my guns by the scope, so I may not be the best person to take advice from on this matter. Lol
In my defense, I haven’t had a scope issue yet, and poa is always dead on! Says something for the quality of my scopes I guess.

Weird as I have never noticed that nor would I ever put my gun in like that. Simply because it just seems backasswards independent of the weight issue
