Why is there a shortage of pellets?

We had this discussion before, so again: are you only buying ONE TIN AT A TIME????? If you are, then stick to Amazon and their Free Shipping, because every other retailer out there is going to charge you shipping whether you buy 1 or 10. You are not going to get free shipping from retailers just because you only want 1 tin of pellets.

The bulk of air gunners buy multiple tins of pellets, so that shipping cost gets spread out over 4 or 8 or 12 or more tins. Because I tried it to see, I went to PA, loaded 8 tins of JSB King .25 pellets (since they show them in stock), estimated shipping which was $8.99 for all 8 which amounts to about $1.12 cents each tin shipping cost, then did the math like you apparently have, only I did mine based on buying 4 and 8 tins of pellets.

8 tins x 350 pellets in a tin is 2800 pellets. $119.94 cost for 6 tins (2 free remember??), $8.99 shipping is $128.93 divided by 2800 pellets equals .046 a shot.

4 tins x 350 pellets in a tin is 1400 pellets. $59.97 cost for 3 tins (1 free, remember???), $8.99 shipping is $68.96 divided by 1400 pellets equals .046 a shot.

There's tax in there too since they're required by federal law to charge it but you're still only looking at about 5 cents a shot not the 20 cents you came up with because again, you're basing your figures on 1 TIN.
