Why "just" another change

Why was the 30 Yard Challenge moved from the General Discussion section over to the Target Shooting Challenges section?

I am very active on this Forum and I have been very active and enjoying the 30 Yard Challenge. Every time that I log onto this Forum the first place that I go to is the General Discussion section to get updated on the current events. Now any updated post about the 30 Yard Challenge is not shown in General Discussion....why? Why make a change when it was working OK?

I will confess that I am probably the only person left here on the Forum that still prefers the Old Original Format.

You have missed the whole point.....
1) Why make a change when all is working A-OK
2) You need to read through the 700-plus post in the General Discussion section and see how many Members ( both new and old to the Forum ) have made a comment about how pleased they are to "find" the link to the 30 Yard Challenge. The volume of activity on the "Thread" means that a new post shows up often thus allowing more exposure to the Forum Membership. Now that the Thread is moved, any and all new post will NOT show up in the General Discussion section and limiting the exposure to all Members.
3) I am not lazy and do not mind trying to help.....possibly you need to re-read your statement "

It should have never been left in general discussion more than a day for a moderator to find it and move it. If the forum is ignored and topics put where ever someone wants them to be just because they want to only visit the general section the forum will become a mess.

I dont get the complaints about the new forum setup. What is it exactly people dont like about it? I seen a few posts about how hard it is to find stuff and that one gets me.

Agree... A few months prior to the new format, Mods were moving at least 5 or 6 posts daily that were put in the incorrect topic sections. For some reason, people think (thought) that if they didn't put it in General no one would see it, which just isn't true. If you look now, there are hundreds of topics that are in the "wrong" section, and this makes it harder to review and find the subjects you are looking for...
