Why does the air venturi avenger look exactly like the umarex origin??did umarex patent expire or did they sell the design??

Happens all the time with Chinese manufactured items. Basically the same thing is made by a single manufacturer and companies just add their own tweaks and specs. At the core they are basically the same item. Really apparent for example with scopes. There are so many “different “ scopes manufactured over there with different knobs and coatings with a different name stamped on them. Basically they are about the same.

They are in Germany and build some guns there, but contract out others to China. Diana does the same.

Yup, if it is inexpensive, it comes from China.

Notice the banner add on the home screen for the Diana XR200 says made in Germany. Google it and find the price. You can almost tell where they are made by price. Although some China guns are getting up there.

Because they all come out of the same box factory. The factory worker has a big dial on the control panel with Umarex, Air Venturi etc. and the rest and they just turn the dial to point at whatever product is being banged out. They also have a QC dial that is labeled with choices like shXXty but acceptable, horrible but only one leak, leaks all over, completely sucks.
