The history of the slug shooter doesn't begin with FX. There is a handful of guys that I personally credit with having started this trend. I won't name any of them out respect but they are out there to be easily found on Youtube and some of them even frequent these forums. Those guys were using platforms like the Airforce, Hatsans, Evanix, Benjamin, to name a few, as a base to develop better valves, better hammers, regulators, machined barrels.. you name it, they did it. Ernest Rowe is a perfect example of this, and guess who he works for now..2 questions what air force gun is a direct competitor? 2nd what disservice are you speaking of?
Now, It is no secret the airgun industry has grown exponentially in the last few years. What we have also witnessed recently is the rise of the "influencer". Unlike the previous guys that were out to develop something for their own personal enjoyment, the Influencers align themselves with a manufacturer or a brand in order to gain recognition, bring products to market and therefore profit from their venture. There was a period of time where cost of entry into the high power realm of airguns kept the vast majority of the public uninterested, that is simply no longer the case. As bigger and bigger numbers of these products come into circulation so will the negative encounters by LEOs around the country and there fore more regs..
Simple logic folks, I know there will always be those that will dig their heels and believe that it is their god given right to have access to everything without ever considering the whole spectrum of issues that may arise for the community as a whole. Those that don't look much farther than their own personal views and fail to educate themselves as to why certain things come to be in other places and why draconian measures have been imposed on people. Failure to learn from other peoples negative experiences will make us subject to those same negative experiences.. The 12ft lb. rule in the UK didn't come about for no reason, look it up!
