Why would you sell?

For the record: I've never golfed (don't judge me) so I'm only using that at a relatable analogy. I do have other interests that are just as costly, gear intensive, & pointless (skiing, kayaking, biking, etc) so I have a garage full of treasures that may or may not be feeling the love depending on the statsus of my OCD at the moment.

I also never, ever sell my stuff being somewhere between too lazy and realizing that I'm probably not going to make out enough for it to be worth the effort. Usually by the time I'd be ready to part w something, it's crossed over into "Classic" status and no longer sexy enough that I'd make out enough.

I read too many selllers regrets stories on here too

I look for them at yard/garage sales, in any shape, even parts, as I like to tinker on them, try to bring them "back to life".
That being said, we live in an apartment, so there's not a whole lot of room.
Both retired, and by no means Rich, it usually comes down to "needs before wants".
As I get some of these up and running/shooting, I can put an ad out to make a little something back or maybe put them on consignment.
A select few are kept for my own enjoyment.

I like trying out new guns. Seeing what potential they have, comparing then to each other and learning them. I like being able to help the community, being able to give advise based on my experiences with certain guns and helping others make more educated choices in what may be the better tool for them. Also once I get my hands on them I tear apart to some extent to see how they work. It helps me be more proficient at my job, and given that I hunt iguanas for a living I get to put them to the test every single day.
for a living..

I haven’t accumulated all the guns I’ll probably end up with. So not selling yet. For the last 10 years I was into guitars and went through about 30 at least. I’m getting old at 68 and worry about my 2 sons having to get rid of stuff so I pare it down. I’m down to about 8. Harder to sell now online and come close to break even. Seller fees, PayPal fees, shipping and last couple years taxes added in by ebay, reverb etc.

Yessir, i have a ton of posts on iguana removal.
yes I'm aware of the invasion..sad but I get it ,making $$ just thru me for a second..kind of like abatement work for a falconer.

I want to sell most of my airguns but I think they are worth more than others will pay for them so I'm slowly giving them away to close friends and family.
That's always been my philosophy w gear

By the time I'm prepared to part w something it's usually worth more to just keep it as a loaner or gift it to someone I like.
