Wildcat bt wont cock

I just purchased a Wildcat bt in .22 got it home and it won't cock. If you keep trying eventually you can get the gun to cock and it will work but when you stop shooting for a while it goes back to not cocking. No clue

Back off the hammer spring one half turn and try to cock it.

Back off the hammer spring one half turn and try to cock it.

Turn the adjustment hole to the lowest position, use an Allen wrench(sorry, forgot which size) and turn 1 revolution clock wise and try again.

Could it be too little sear engagement? A badly adjusted trigger, in other words.

Trigger too light. Give 3/4 of turn counter clockwise.
