Hi all,

I am seeking input how to solve my issues.

The situation is that my bleed hole (in the first plenum) which is in the 1st regulator portion keeps hissing air out. This is after I have changed both regulator to new regulators (with brass piston) and all with new O Rings. I have also change the O Rings in the plenum multiple times.

Any idea/s whats happening? Before this, the Wildcat was a beautiful rifle to handle. The 1st regulator was set at 180 bar & 2nd reg was at 160 bar. The set up was for hunting small games.

Take your gun apart and clean out the air tube with acetone so all old lubes are gone. Reinstall the regs and lightly grease the o rings. Reassemble and refill with air. I think you may have excess lube in the sir tube, and the high pressure air is pushing against those o rings and the extra lube will cause the o rings to tilt and allow air thru. Anytime I’ve done what you’ve already done, a super clean oil free air tube has always fixed that type of leak

With the advice I gave you, I am 100% assuming you have changed every o ring in the regulator inside and out, or replaced the entire reg unit like you mentioned. Also, something else to consider is jumping up one size in o ring thickness on the outer regulator o rings. If it called for a 1.5mm thickness maybe try a 1.75mm as an example. I think cleaning the airtube squeaky clean will fix it, though

Yup, i have gone 1 size up on the outer reg o rinngs. Yet to give the airtube a good clean. Will update later

I will change the inner o ring thats in the reg housing. Thx, I will update later in a few days when I have the time.

Replace both these M4 grub set screws to socket head M4 x 6mm allen, or better yet, Torx head. Those set screws will eventually loosen up if you shoot a lot, and allow that cocking rod to slip and throw your pellet to brass transfer port openings off by allowing your pellet probe to slip towards the rear(that rod is connected to the pellet probe).

You can try tightening those set screws but if you round off the socket you’re going to get teed off and want to punch someone. Change them out now, one at a time, and you’ll never post on here on AGN “ sudden loss of velocity”.

If air is leaking through that small hole on the plenum after you swapped to the brass piston you will need to play around with the orientation of the Belleville washers. There’s multiple ways you can try to see if it’ll work out for you. I had the same issue but played around with the washer and it’s ok now. I forgot how I assembled it but you can try this

I never suggested that as you had already said in your entry post you had changed all reg o rings. When you source an o ring “kit” for these types of regs(wether the amp or the Huma), the inner o ring is always included but not all folks change that out. That one o ring is typically the main culprit for air leaking out the vent hole
