Wildcat Mk lll scope and bipod ideas

I just ordered a MK lll compact in 22 and I am considering which scope and bipod to get for it.

i know I have heard a lot of guys using the Athlon scopes and seem to like them but I personally don’t have any experience with them.



any suggestions would be appreciated

What's the budget and are you clicking or just holding over? Want so-so or good or top shelf? Need to know budget and Maximum magnification you need and what use hunting what paper target at 50 or 100 yards or only short range? Yo!

Addison had a question about scopes and he is pretty STOKED after picking up a SWFA SS I recommended. Yo!

Hunting and targets 30 to 100 yards. 

I was looking at an element titan for 800 or so but they are not in stock. But definitely not the super expensive high end scopes

not sure on the max Magnification, enough to see the target well (20-25 ish)

The Bushnell tac 4.5 -30 does have a good price of 600 though.

They're $539.10 with the 10% off and are SFP Mildot with a 25 yard MINIMUM focus but you can shoot at 10 yards by backing the power down. Just buy it and if you don't like it I'll buy it from you just don't mount it. I already bought 10 of them today. Gonna buy probably 10 more after i pay off the CC balance and shuffle funds DANG MAXED OUT ALREADY otherwise I'd order 20 of them today. Taking off all my Chinese scopes and replacing them with JAPAN scopes I can trust to DIAL IN CLICKS WITH EACH AND EVERY SHOT. Yo!

The BUSHNELL TAC 4.5-30x50 is next for you Addison. SWFA SS has no doubt an edge in clarity and closer focus. BUSHNELL TAC if you need HIGH magnification. You should try one too Addison surely you have more than one gun. Both are perfect for clicking. I'll to offer to buy the BUSHNELL TAC from you too if you don't like it just don't mount it. Yo!

I have a Hawk AirMax SF 30 Compact 4-16 that’s going on my Wildcat MK3. I’ll also use the Atlas bipod I’ve used for years.

I have Leupold vx3s on powder burners And the glass is pretty good.

is that close to the quality of glass on the SWFA?

They are pretty close the VX3 would be lighter and a hair brighter with comparable clarity. C'MON MAN THAT'S A LEUPOLD! Yo!

Just thought of something...

You are putting a bipod on a "close combat" weapon..? Bullpups were designed for close combat, not sniper shooting.

If you hunt in low light conditions occasionally you may consider a scope with illuminated reticle. There have been a couple times when it came in really handy for me and one time when I didn’t have it so I couldn’t take the shot because I couldn’t see the reticle. Just something to think about anyway.


Im waiting for the Helix to come available but it doesn’t have IR. The Element that you are considering does.

Like greenarrow suggested an illuminated reticle is a big plus for pesting or hunting, especially in low light conditions. The SWFA are nice, but pricey for what you get and the lack of illumination is a deal breaker for me. There is a reason a lot of guys like Athlons... lots of good choices... good luck!
