Yes I did, I shot 200 pellets thought the crony in it before trying to adjust the regs.
Ok, 1000 shots as mentioned may not be nescesarry, it is just a habit I personally have. But other parts like hammer, valve, and so on, also needs some braking in. The extreme spread will usually tighten up some as all the parts brake in, even if you do not change any settings on the gun. Slugs are more sensitive to speed variations, than pellets, and require allot ot testing to get it optimal. All the work is somehow a litle wasted if you start tuning for slugs right away, as the gun is not optimal when it hardly has been shot.
