marked as a Winchester model 353. Winchester never made airguns, but in the 1970s they had Diana make certain models branded Winchester. This one is a .177 and shoots 367fps averaged.

This is my Predom Lucznik WZ 1976 air pistol. It was manufactured by Zaklady Metalowe Predom-Lucznik in Radom, Poland from at least 1972 to about 1980 it is a copy of the Walther LP53. It is a .177 caliber and shoots 419fps averaged.

I shot these pistols side by side today to compare accuracy at 25 feet. I was shooting in a kneeling and off hand, firing 25 shots each.

The first target photo is the result of the Winchester 353 the second the Predom.

Nice shooting!

Those Original 5/ Diana 5/ Hy-Score 815/ Winchester 353 pistols with the solid plastic stocks are fantastic shooting air pistols. I think they are exceedingly sturdy and quite underrated, right now. Perhaps, even under valued. I have the Hy-Score 815 in gray and a Winchester 353 in brown. As near as I can tell they were only made in gray and brown. I did see a comment about a green stocked pistol, though. Have you ever seen a plastic stocked version in green?

Edit- I forgot to add the Gecado 5, as well.

Hi septic death and others. I have a Winchester Model 353, 177 caliber made in West Germany for Winchester. It was given to me. It likely needs seals and a spring to be operative, as that is what Umarex suspected. Umarex likely has the parts and could work on it, but will not work on anything they do not sell, so I am in a pickle. Can anyone point me in a direction where this air pistol could once again be useful?

Thanks so much.

Thank you Septicdeath for this information. It is the most detailed I have seen so far. I know my limitations and this is beyond my capabilities. If there was a gunsmith nearby, the instructions would be invaluable. I live in Medford, OR and will go to several gun shops to see if there is someone who might be able to help.

Septicdeath, Do you know if the Diana5 and the Winchester 353, 177 caliber are identical? Or identical enough for this kit to be useful?

Yes I now this. I do my own guns.

I don't no anyone in our part of the woods to help you out. I don't do others guns. Have a full time job already.

Here's my thinking: If that Diana5 kit would work for my Winchester 353, then were I to find someone in my neck of the woods who had the skills I do not, then that kit should make my Winchester workable again. What do you think of that idea? It hinges on that kit working on the Winchester 353.
They are the same guns but 353 winchester branded them and imported to US. The Hy Score model is slightly different inside.

I see no marking on the pistol or original box, that this is a Hy Score. Would it be reasonable to assume that its a typical 353 and therefore I could cautiously precede ahead with my plan. I'm meeting a firearm's person tomorrow morning and was going to bring my 353 and explain my circumstance.
